Would love a full “skincare for beginners” series on developing a skincare routine from the ground up. How to decipher product ingredients, what you need vs what’s less essential, etc. Especially one that doesn’t break the bank!
@yolaghy3 жыл бұрын
first gotta define your skin type and what it needs, then it goes from simple routine to more complex with more products as you get used to commit to doing your skincare, what I learned for sure from shereen is, first, double cleanse if you wear makeup, moisturizer and sunscreen come last, and use sunscreen everyday, and reapply throughout the day. exfoliants, serums, eye creams, etc come in between if you use them. with different goals and uses for each. for ex: Vitamin C is better used for AM routine not at night and enhances your sunscreen's ability to protect from UV. Where's my money @DrShereenIdriss? No, send me products instead!

While you may get away with just one cleanser for both cleanses, it's really nice to begin with an oil-based (cleansing balms are my fav), because they don't get in to your eyes so you can be really thorough and gentle when massaging off make up; it's nice to then just remove everything with a warm damp flannel/muslin cloth. All of that is mess-free and very gentle. I then go in with a second cleanse with a water-based cleanser, but only need half a pump for whatever's left and don't take it too close to my eyes. Somehow that's much gentler and less messy than just using a water-based cleanser twice. And it's not like you're saving money when using just one cleanser for both cleanses anyway 😛 Thanks for the video and looking forward to hearing more on the serum!
