After listening to this album, I went and listened to the complete trilogy "Endless Forms most Beautiful", "Human Nature" and "Yesterwynde" over and over again. If you listen to all 3 albums in a row, it all makes sense. Toumas is not only about the evolution of Earth, but also about the evolution of Nightwish. Unfortunately, some old fans don't understand this evolution of Nightwish.

This is the best song I've heard in years. The lyrics, the melody, the choirs, the strings, the brasses, Uilleann pipes in the end... Everything is so emotional. It's like a soundtrack for every person I've met in my life, every precious relationship and every bitter disappointment. Greatest show on earth is still my fave, but this one has achieved a very special place in my mind.

The whole of Yesterwynde is simply astonishing. I just hope that the band are aware of how much they are appreciated. I've been listening to metal for 35-years now but nothing, absolutely nothing, comes close to the emotions that Nightwish relentlessly give. Their music is peerless. This song could just be the best thing they have done because it encompasses everything that is unbelievable about this band. I am so grateful that I get to hear music like this. I think the music and lyrics from 5-minutes in, 'sail and seek....' could be the best bit of music I've ever heard, just surpassing the thunderous end of 7-days to the wolves. God, I love this band. As I say, I just hope that Nightwish are aware of how much they are appreciated.

Very glad you enjoyed this one! This song has everything I love about Nightwish, but it's the way they can create these songs that are simultaneously explosive and deeply moving that really turned me into a fan - and this is a prime example of that, for me at least. This is the band at their absolute best.

This is a pure shot of serotonin running through my veins and setting deep into my heart! My vivid imagination went crazy with images about the a pirate crew crossing the raging ocean, in search for these mythical islands, then landing at the shore, the last section is the perfect calm after the storm. The song is an epic blend of Shudder Before The Beautiful, Dark Chest of Wonders and Scaretale wrapped up in All The Works Of Nature Which Adorn The World

I watched her interview with the Charismatic Voice. She did these recordings 6 weeks post partum. She said standing was still hurting. Tuomas said the she was so prepared. They allowed 3 weeks for the vocal recording and were done in around 10 days. Utterly effin' amazing!

Thanks for sharing your reaction to a song that for me explores themes of solitude, self-discovery, and the existential journey through life's trials. The imagery of the ocean, islands, and mariners reflects a metaphorical exploration of the human experience. The song captures the essence of navigating life’s uncertainties and finding one's place in a vast, often unwelcoming world. It suggests a longing for connection and understanding while grappling with the weight of past experiences and the isolation they can bring.

One of the reasons I love Nightwish is their poetic lyrics. I think it will take a few years before I figure what Tuomas mean if ever, but in the meanwhile I have no problem just vibing. With my first impression, I find the lyrics to be an ode to neurodivergent people. You sail around the world and can't understand people you meet, but of course you want to be part of their story, so they can be a part in your story. But they won't let you into their community (their island) so you sail further. In the end you realise the ship is enough and you don't need those strange islands.

I'm not the world's biggest Nightwish fan. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate what they can do. That delivered what you expect from Nightwish and as a bonus, it's just a tad different. Not as classical, a little power metal, and just a pinch of pop. And unsurprisingly it works. Great reaction 👍

Tuomas said this song is about people we meet along the way in life, each person represent a island.. and the one steering the ship, Tuomas, or maybe you.. it could be your story right, but Tuomas proberly did write it as him steering the ship. feel some imaginarium vibes here, also some melody parts reminds a bit if the NW song Sahara, and the part singing Mad despair is very Scaretale.. i do think its a great song, i didnt catch it at first listen, i was also pretty tired, maybe thats why, but now i get on a journey with it, sailing this ship.. love it!!

Jesus, my Lord! What was this melody, this harmony, these instruments, this music? A choir at the beginning that fooled Tauri, the breakdown and the standard Nightwish rhythm. Simply intoxicated by the opening! Imagine Tauri who is already in tears! Jesus! This is going to be a show of emotions! Interestingly, at certain moments the musical pattern reminds us of Arjen Lucassen? The same context, musical weight, the same rhythm, at minute 3.06! My God, she can't hold back the tears! I went to look for the lyrics before watching the reaction to understand what would come next and to understand Tauri's emotions! And I'm holding back so I don't cry along with her! Hold on to your heart! Tauri's relationship with the band is surreal! And I believe it is for the thousands of fans! At the premiere with Tauri there were 78 people! This is simply the Nightwish effect! In fact, Floor knows how to capture the attention of her audience by intoning her vocals on the key words and in the chorus! And the overall context is sensational! While I listen to Floor singing and watch the emotion that is pouring out of Tauri, there is a time lapse where I see Floor and the band on stage singing this song and interacting with the audience! Jesus! This is surreal! Wow! This live performance must be beautiful! The sight is so beautiful! Jesus! Calm down, Tauri! Calm down, woman! The emotion is intense! Jesus! I can only imagine how that reaction must have come out! Hey! We have a guitar now! Aiaiaai! Hold on and get excited! Look! It follows the same pattern as the other songs, because I'm remembering the previous ones and they also had this beat after Floor's introduction! How interesting! The same rhythm pattern! And look, I'm not a follower of the band, I just follow Tauri's reactions! I'm remembering a comment that Tauri made when they released Perfume of the Timeless full of subliminal messages, but Tauri mentioned that Floor's voice had been a little overshadowed! But here she is using all her vocals and the sound of the instruments is not overshadowing her, on the contrary, it is giving visibility to her voice! Oops! No! No! No! The one who is reacting is Tauri, I'm just remembering some situations! What? Seriously? She expressed that! A scream and a witch's laugh? Wow! It took Tauri and everyone by surprise! It stood out! Hey! Positive thinking, you'll make it! Jesus! Look at the transition! Return of the celestial choir, guitar, Floor's voice! Wow! How beautiful! Jesus! Look at Tauri! I'm worried! There is so much emotion flowing! Oh no! Jesus! Did they put a bagpipe or a flute at the end? Jesus! Tauri, hold back your emotion! Because I'm seeing you in your home, in your land, in the United Kingdom! Man! More than twenty frames and you've transported yourself to your place! Jesus! It's beautiful to see your reaction, at this moment, from the other side! I love analyzing the details of your expressions and your emotions! At this moment, it's Tauri in the flesh, in tears, in front of me! Man! How I'd like to meet you in person and talk a little! Give you an angel's hug and a kiss on that beautiful cheek! Hey! Quality! I wasn't going to post a comment about the band, but after what I saw, heard, and felt, I couldn't leave it blank! It's undoubtedly the best band in the music market in the last decades and years, because they deliver poetry in every lyric to their massive audience! Nostalgia in every melody! And a great inner peace in the musical chords! Congratulations to the band! May the reaction reach the band. A big kiss! Take care! I love you! 💙🌷🫶 (My way of watching Tauri's reactions is like a narrative, I pause the video, write what I felt, and so on until the end! Then I put it in the translator, review it several times, and then post it! It takes, like today, around 3 hours! But today I went overboard because the song is long and it was beautiful! And my love is from the soul! If I'm in “quality” instead of quantity? That's up to her to decide! 😉 I use the translator, because English is not my official language)😘
