WOW, this is incredible. Going to have to add these folks to my spotify list. Just WOW! I have always loved operatic heavy metal - Queensryche being my introduction to this genre. Geoff Tate has such an amazing voice and range. Not sure if you are a fan or not. She reminds me a bit of Violet Orlandi, Lauren Babic and Halocene. Babes with pipes and metal in their souls.

@tonilaitinen519728 күн бұрын
@@nickmilo932 I must say having seen them live on two occasions, sadly Floors voice does get a bit drowned by especially the lower frequencies of the music. This is different from the live recordings, as even with a video shot by phone will cut some of the lower frequencies and thus bring Floors voice more front. I do not know why they also have this kind of mix live - I would have enjoyed even more hearing Floor more clearly. Maybe its due to desibel limits that they want to play the instruments loud but mixing Floors voice above that would break the dB -limits. Just a guess.

The reference to The Lord Of The Flies is part of the theme of the new album. The track Children of 'Ata refers to a true story of a group of boys who were shipwrecked on an island for around 15 months and, far from becoming tribal, actually worked together to keep themselves alive. They were eventually found and rescued. Brilliant story and song. Check it out.

I’m not an “old NW” fan (I’m only 65), but I started with Floor Jansen and Henk Poort on Dutch TV, and limited myself to Floor’s NW. I really enjoy seeing American musicians---especially professionals---share the music of Tuomas, Floor, et al. Many gifted people make great music, and that benefits us all. I'm not a musician, just an old guy that loves music. And after I discovered Nightwish 5 years ago, I never looked back. The Floor era of Nightwish is so outrageously good, it's hard to believe they have such a niche following in the USA. The new album is fantastic....if you like this kind of music.

The most important aspects of this songs compusitition translation into the text, they give the text a brief moment before the words are sung, so that the mind can read and translate as the words come in as they are vocalized. A rarely used concept, which highly benefits Nightwish's wide vary of spoken word lyrics.

@@CharlieCalottaReacts immortality kind of means immortal for like ever? Not just a few Decades. Me thinks it's the self-view or inner feeling of many humans in their teens and twens (and for some even furhter into life) of beeing indestructable and feeling kind of immortal, because having to die someday feels more like a distant possibility than just a reality. I think Tuomas means "the rest of your life" with these "decades of immortality", because, when your life ends your perceived immortality is done too.
