I honestly love both versions but I love this duet even more. I just wished they would sing this song together. At the end Tarja and Floor begin singing the same thing and then when they say “entwined in finding you one day” they sing in different registers. Tarja sings lower notes and Floor sings higher notes. And then Marko’s voice is just magical!!! Having three voices harmonizing gives an extra something to an already amazing song!!! It gives me Goosebumps!

Tarja has the emotion and the unique classical tone within her voice. Floor has the power and extra flare in her voice that gives a live performance that extra punch. Each singer is better and worse in different ways. But they are both Nightwish to me :)

And part of that is because it's a little harder putting as much manipulation and colors when you sing in that classical wide open area Tarja almost strictly uses.... but in recent years she has made great progress and learning her chest voice.

Actually shows how important the band’s dedication to following its click track has become. They repeat the quality every time regardless of the song, singers or players! hugokraven para empezar los dos están mal. liricobarroco Floor Jansen lo que más tiene es técnica porque domina muchos estilos de canto: lírico y operístico, belting (que es el que usa en la canción), contemporáneo y el llamado "popular" que combina muchas veces con una voz más rockera. Hugo, Tarja no canta con falsette, ella canta con voz lírica completamente, porque su voz tiene un entrenamiento clásico, es una cantante básica de opera (no es la mejor, pero es muy buena)

Jurgen Ibro It's not written by Tarja, but by Tuomas. You may feel that it's her song because she was the first to sing it, but that doesn't give someone owners right. Floor adds emotion and power to this song. Tarja sings this in her opera style, which portrays her voice well, but it detracts from the song. It's a very sad song but I don't hear that with Tarja, all I hear is her doing her thing, a lot of lyrics you can't decipher, bad pronunciation and that opera style voice without versatility.

Tarja's voice is so much darker, unique and powerful but floor's voice is also special. I like more tarja because she remains powerful in the whole song, not like floor that waits until the end to show all her potential. Gilbert Tibor Jakub Comeon, her "own" songs she actually sung good. I know on the older songs she couldn't keep up with Tarja but still better than to have no Nightwish at all after 2005. I like all 3. If compare it should be each with an original song of them.

+Andrea Baensch otherwise yes, but she wasn't "compatible" with nightwish. Her voice is extremely common, she would do better being a blues/jazz singer. Nightwish requires knowledge of an operatic scale, something anette could never pull off. Floor has actually gotten lessons in to operatic vocals, so now with that added, she is my definite favorite of all the three. Her voice is by far the most varied and adjustable one. Anette had a great voice, Tarja has an epic voice, but Floor is, and will be the best thing to ever happen to nightwish. and as a sidenote, I found it seriously disappointing that after including anette, tuomas lost his ability to make compelling music. The newest album is a step towards a better direction.

Son excelentes las dos!!! Sin embargo en mi opinión, lo característico de este estilo de música es una voz operística. Le da ese acento "épico". Floor ya no cubre su voz, para que suene agresiva.. y lo hace bien ... ¡¡¡Pero para eso ya está Marco!! Yo esperaría que siga en Nightwish pero me gustaría que optara por un estilo más operístico (que ya sabemos que lo puede hacer).
