Ghost love Score - The Perfect Mix (Nightwish : Tarja & Floor)

I dedicate this video to all the Nightwish fans all around the World.
It's definitely my Nightwish favourite song so I mixed the two most famous Live versions by Tarja Turunen (from "End of an Era") and Floor Jansen (from "Showtime, Storytime") with that wonderful Floor's final scream. Toveri Juri I agree! Well done... Nightwish is the Music and Composition of Mastermind Mr. Holopainen. The singer isn't important imho. Tarja was great, Anette was cute, Floor is ok, but Roy Khan would fit also to the music imho... With a matching Instrument for the main melody part and its voice , you could even do this music without a singer. Ich stimme zu! Gut gemacht... Nightwish ist die Musik und Komposition von Meister Holopainen. Die Saengerin ist unwichtig, meiner Meinung nach. Tarja war grossartig, Anette suess, Floor in Ordnung, aber Roy Khan wuerde genauso zur Musik passen, wie ich finde... Mit dem passenden Instrument fuer die Erste Stimme, könnte man sogar auf einen Saenger verzichten.

Just imagine, if Tarja would ever join Nightwish on stage just for one song and do a duett with Floor... How incredible that would be, I know this will never happen, understandably so considering how Tarja and the rest of the band parted ways, but just imagine it..... IF it ever did happen, I would literally give ANYTHING to be there and see that show in person I have always and will always be in Tarjas corner, she's the OG, I dont think Nightwish would have ven formed without her and definately not reched the heights they have, but I will never deny that Floor is an incredible singer too, and probably more versatile in her vocal abilities And no, me saying I dont think Nightwish would have formed/reached the heights they have without Tarja does not mean that I think Tuomas and the rest of the band would not have been sucessful, they are all brilliant musicians and Tuomas a fantastic composer, I just don't think they would have done it toghether, as one band

I started listening to Nightwish since Tarja era. Then Annette, Now Floor. Of the 3, Tarja the Gothic Queen, Annette the “Pop” Queen, and finally Floor, the Valkyrie Metal Queen. All have their merits. I just prefer FLOOR, because I can feel the emotion of the song when Floor sings.

I love them both. For me, it is impossible to say which one is better, because they are both incredible, irreplaceable talents, and they both are brilliant in their own ways, and I can't say anything bad about either. I love Nightwish and they've never done anything I thought was bad.

Very good mix. Floor and Tarja are friends, any attempt to create antagonism is just a whim. Tarja has a unique voice, she has a unique vibrato. Floor may not have exactly that, but she has a great voice, and the strength and resilience she has on stage is wonderful

Awesome mix, Tarja is a beauty, but Floor is, without a doubt, the best for me!!! Her facial expressions, gestures, vocals, all together puts her in the first place!!! And the sparkle in his eyes does not fit the description, it's just mega gorgeous!!! by the way, in this mix, I noticed this difference for myself once again!!! Just watched a recent interview with Floor. She is now FLUENT IN FINNISH!! When she joined, she said that she wanted to learn to feel closer and more at home with her boys. Well she has learned, and it didn't seem like she had any trouble going into Finnish and back to English. Learn all our songs in two days? OK! Learn Finnish next? OK! I literally have more then 1500 reaction to Floors version of GLS here, and in more then 90% comment are like "WOW..." , "It is so effortless.."", "I don't what to say after that", "I need a cigarette", "Thanks Floor, now I am a blubbering mess for the rest of the day", etc, etc. Yet, you listened to only two(!!) songs of her, and you are already able to tell that she is "forgetable" and "boring". Wow man, I must say that I admire the accute power of observation of that brilliant mind of yours! Few are to able make such astute observations as you are! But now back to reality. If you listen to this video, you will simply hear that in the parts between 8.82 and 9.13 Tarja seems to run out of ideas and sounds boring and flat untill she throws a handkiss and walks of the stage (... leaving the song to peter out) , then Floor comes on again with her unique power and gives us the spectacular ending that she invented and that made the song world famous. But also in the other parts of the song, Floor simply sounds better, and especially more fluent and better integrated with the music. Floor is simply the better singer. So I remain with my view: Tarja has a certain special sound, that a certain group of people (like you) seems to like very much. Well you are welcome to it (!). Taste and preference are personal, and I wont fight you on that. I personally don't like that sound however. To me it sounds like an empty trick, that she repeats again and again, without any real personal or emotional involvement That is why I say that Tarja is OVERRATED. Tarja is a great singer, but LIMITED (partly by her own choice) and she will never become a true great opera singer. For that she has too many technical shortcommings. And the things that she can do well, I simply don't like... (taste and preference!) That brings me back to you. Pittyfull are people who can not see greatness because they are blinded by empty spite.

For the love of God I hate the argument! The truth is that these two ladies have & would work together again. Perhaps even on the same stage! I'll point a finger of blame at the mad genius Tuomas, for he was the one to have needlessly complicated an iconic band & concept! I hated Nightwish with Anette. Anette was not a bad singer, it just did not feel like Nightwish with her. With Floor it feels like Nightwish again. They need a certain type of singer for their sound.

I believe that all three nightwish singers should do a show together. I think comparing them is foolish. Nightwish is a living entity that changes over time like you have. We get to see the band from tarja to floor and ŵe get to enjoy the entire life span. Be thankful.

They're both amazing, with a few special voice characteristics each. Both hit the highest notes but Tarja's lower range is better. However Floor as a growl in the angry rocker phrases that Tarja doesn't have. You can't see it in this version, but Floor has a special ability for adding her own creation/improvisation at the end of Ghost Love Score, not so much in this Wacken version but especially the orgasmic end in the Buenos Aires Live DVD. The audience sure noticed it there chanting her name. And then Tarja invented the *whole genre* herself!! I can only imagine a NW + Floor studio album will be amazing, and Tarja's solo albums are getting better all the time. Impossible to choose one over the other. Hope I will see more of the two singing together one of these days, like that gig in Belgium.

This is what Floor means to us. Not trying to start a war here or anything. Just wanted to share some things I've noticed in these boards in my short time here. And also to drop a bit of reasoning as why us Floor fans are just as passionate about our superwoman as Tarja fans are. Tarja fans, for the most part, don't seem to know a whole lot about Floor, otherwise they would probably treat her with a little more respect. And for that we do have to cut them a little slack. They only judge her by her live performances with NW and usually the earlier ones when she'd only been in the band a month or two as opposed to 10 months or so by the time she performed at Wacken. Floor's work ethic alone and what she was able to accomplish in so little time is unspeakable. Sadly, we think of Tarjaholics as snobbish bullies who are stuck in the past and who think they are vastly superior about their knowledge of singing than the rest of us are and take every moment to put down anyone else that is not Tarja. Obviously I do not think all Tarja fans think like this but the very vocal ones you see popping up in every video don't help matters. Anyone who knows anything about Floor realizes this woman has it all. Rock, metal, classical, contemporary and that stage presence is second to none. Us Floor fans don't care if Tarja's classical voice is technically better. She's not a classical singer like Tarja is and we don't expect her to be. But when Floor comes soaring in with her operatics we appreciate Floor's softer and prettier voice just to have her turn around and growl and snear and then belt out an insanely pitched note. We love how she takes a song like Ghost Love Score and uses her voice and body in unison to portray a variety of emotions. The way she just adds her own flair to the end and turning it from a great song into a true epic. There is a reason that the last 90 or so seconds of this video end with Floor. She continues the note that Tarja left on, stretches it out 2 to 3 times longer and then just launches into this unworldly vocal assault that left the audience screaming in delight and wonderment. And these moments we call Floorgasms. When the hair stands up on our skin, get chills down our spines or when we are suddenly moved to tears. This is why we love Floor. 09:13, nuff said. Comments are welcome just don't be an a-hole trying to start a flame war. I would truly love to read a well thought post about why you like Tarja better.

All that, plus the song was written with Tarja's voice in mind -- not Floor's. That she adapts it so well is truly remarkable. Tarja's rendition is powerful and still very much worth listening too -- particularly the studio version -- but ultimately nothing beats the ending of Floor's live version: simply astounding.

Yeah..why argue about both when both are so different? And many Floor fans also often argue about Tarja being bad (because of the letter which called her a diva which means they don't know alot about Tarja because Tarja is one of the kindest musicians out there..she is so cute xD) so ...yeah if just fans of both sides would stop being ignorant and would stop judging without reason it would be realy cool..but we can't have nice things can we? :/ Also going back to the letter thing, Tarja is not anymore like in nightwish..since the break-up she has never been like that..people often forget that over the time stuff changes. Tarja also has stage-presence now and interacts alot with her fans. But people often ignore that. Floor and Tarja are both great singers and I think they don't deserve the hate...
