I think that this is a great example of the talent of every single member of the band. Floor, of course, belting out impossible high note after impossible high note. Marko, with his totally amazing breath control and the richness that he holds right to the end of each phrase. Emppu killing it on the guitar, then fading back into the shadows and Jukka, my goodness, Jukka. I don't know how his arms and legs move so quickly in so many different directions. And, then there is Tuomas, in the background, letting the others take the spotlight and sometimes not taking enough credit for the total instrument he has put together.

I fully concur. I'm 62 and have loved the great classic bands such as Led Zeppelin Deep Purple Heart ACDC Metallica etc. but have never been affected by a band such as Nightwish and Floor. I had the privilege of watching the second last show of Nightwish this year in Gelsenkirchen Germany and was totally mesmerized by band and the seven month pregnant Floor. It was like a Devine experience to say the least

Take those comments with a grain of salt. The Nightwish fans are so passionate and protective of every member of this band. They can sometimes come off kind of harsh in their criticism of pausing at inappropriate times in the song. No worries. That is what I call a breathtakingly powerful vocal climax. Floorgasm! This is beyond amazing. Floor kills it as always, but she's complete with Marco's voice. In my opinion, Nightwish lost a lot when this bassist and vocalist left the band. Nightwish is no the same without a second powerful voice. The try with Troy, but his voice is too low, too soft, they sounded great singing toghether, the three of them. Now Floor has to do her part and Marco's part in the songs than had two voices, female and male. She does a great job, of course, but the two different voices are needed. I recomend you to watch Floor and Troy singing "How's the heart" Planet Rock acoustic session kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4rXnIOme76thdE, Just Floor, Troy and and an acoustic guitar. Pure pleasure.

How about the show opener, Dark Chest of Wonders. The first song most of the European fan base gets to see Floor live with Nightwish. Floor joined the band after the European leg of the tour, there were about five concerts in England in 2013 with Floor and then Wacken. Most European metal fans knew Floor from previous bands, and there were some videos online, but this was the first live experience for most of the audience.

Hi, Arias one of the reasons I enjoy watching your reactions, is that you do go back. You know I still have to remind myself that Floor has only been with Nightwish for only 10 months. In this video, to me it seems like Floor is made for Nightwish and Nightwish made for Floor. I don't know if anyone has mentioned the documentary, can you learn the set list in 48 hours, goes back to 11 months before and charts the events that brought Nightwish and Floor together. Daniel, don’t ever apologise for your pauses. They are apart of reactions. Sometimes to avoid getting blocked and sometimes to make a point as you think of it. Because you have never heard the song before so you can do an honest reaction how would you know when is the best place to pause? The difference between you and some reactors is that you go back a long way to keep the flow going. My favourite part is after the guitar solo when Jukka kills it with the double kick drums and Floor belts out those high notes and Marco is the powerhouse as he always is. As you so perfectly put it: don’t poke holes in a masterpiece

Hi Daniel. New subscriber from Neolithic England here (nr Stonehenge). As you have made the decision to react to the Wacken concert in it's entirety, may I make the suggestion that you also include the version of 'Ghost Love Score' please? There is nothing wrong with the Tampere version, but there is something special ablout the Wacken version. Firstly, while Floor had been with the band since December the previous year, most of her concerts had been across the Pond in the Americas. Over here in Europe, very few had actually seen her as the new lead singer and I believe it is that rush of anticipation and adrenalin which made both hers and the bands' performance so 'perfect'. Secondly, the crowd reaction is incredible and finally, that particular ten minute clip is now the most rected-to song on the internet!! Loving your journey btw!!

Wacken 2013 is a great concert but there others available on KZbin. Try Wembley 2015, Tampere 2015, Buenos Aires 2018 for a start. Just mix 'em a bit! Plus 'Sahara' in Tampa - not to be missed!

You should really listen to their tribute of Pink Floyd's High Hopes, live. Marko sings the whole song and it is AMAZING> Even die hard Floyd fans are overwelmed. Also the Islander live in Tampere (folky song) is great. Marko alone on stage during NW concert. Floor is one of a kind, but Marko is an awesome singer as well. I love his sweet voice too. While your lips are still red in Wembley is sung by Marko, with Floor at the background. Beautiful emotional song.

This is on my low list of my favorites...lol But i still love it! The part where it keeps getting higher is called a key change. That's when the tonal center changes. Hello Arias, Nightwish Army Italian Division reporting. I think now you are ready to listen to "Phantom of the Opera" recorded live by Nightwish with Henk Poort in Amsterdam at Ziggo Dome few months ago and also to listen to the same song recorded many years ago during "The End of an Era Tour" with the first Nightwish lead singer Tarja Turunen. They are two phenomenal masterpieces. BTW I was captured by Nightwish during the first "Nightwish Era" about 20 years ago with Tarja as lead singer.

Floor has said that this is one of the more difficult songs to sing, bc it has her planted in that high register. And Marko has said that he loved singing w Floor bc he can belt in his high register and not overwhelm her. Made to sing together! Your pausing and taking the video back for continuity...is *exactly* how reactions should be done. Ignore complaints... ppl know how to watch the uninterrupted video, and the alternative of you talking iver the music...is unacceptable. Youve got this!

Not a universal view, but I take this as Tuomas love song to Tarja. I love Tarja’s rendition. But, somehow Floor animates this from a soft gentle intro into a positive musical avalanche. You have bought your ticket, you are on the Nightwish train, can’t now imagine you ever to stop enjoying the journey. As for Tuomas love for Tarja you will form your own opinions, but my take on the Tarja leaving Trilogy from dark passion play. Poet. Depression despair at ‘the end’ suicide and ultimately redemption and rebirth at ‘the beginning’. Master passion greed. Unabated vitriol towards ‘mr Tarja’. Bye bye beautiful. Sorrow at Tarja’s ‘betrayal’ but unable to bring himself to hatred. Yes, Tuomas, his works and the band will give you lots to consider as you continue the journey.

Floor's power and edurance, here is fkn phenomenal. In later performances, they drop a half step, so not quite as high but still outstandingly impressive. This, though, is by far the best version. I've heard all the singers do it, and this version even trumps Floor's own subsequent efforst IMHO.

There's nothing wrong with reacting to the whole of Wacken (I bought the DVD) but if you focus on that, you will miss 3 superb things. 1) You will miss the few/best tracks where Marko does lead vocals. 2) You will miss the some of the more recent tracks that are just as good as Ever Dream or Ghost Love Score - I would say Elan is one of those. 3) You will miss Tarja, without wanting to start a "who is better" war, many of the performances in the "End of an Era" (live Helsinki 2005) are as epic as Wacken. The Tarja/Marko duet on "Phantom of the Opera" is magic. Sadly Floor didn't do one of these before Marko left.
