I am 74 years old and drove 8 hours to New York City for their second concert in the USA in a long time. Had not been to a concert in 19 years. The Nightwish crowd was fantastic! Friendly, polite, and fun. The concert was sooooo good. You must plan to go to a Nightwish concert as soon as you can. You two will talk about it for the rest of your lives. Hope to still be around for their next American tour. Please continue on this great adventure that is Nightwish!! We all love your reactions!

I love the sheer joy that comes from both of you. This happens all the time to most NW fans and it never diminishes no matter how many times you watch their performances. Wonderful compositions with so many intracacies and translated into what you see on stage. There are so many recommendations that you can become confused and overpowered by them all. Best advice is to stick to Gabriel's list and after listening to 20+ songs go your own way. Looking forward to the next reaction with great anticipation and thanks.

I was fortunate enough to see her a few weeks before you did this reaction. The quality of the recordings we get to watch and listen to are amazing. However, as good as they are in person is at least double in intensity ... emotions, joy, ethereal tones, power ... no one word can describe it all. An experience of a lifetime. I've been around for over six decades and blessed to see some of the best singers of all time live and the best rock bands, metal, etc ... Floor and Nightwish are right there with the other greats. Beatles (admittedly I was a kid and not as impressed as some are by them), Elvis, Dolly Parton, Tom Jones, Led Zeppelin (4x), Grand Funk Railroad, Aerosmith, Queen (3X all with Freddy), The Who, Heart (Ann Wilson), Metallica, Dio, Black Sabbath, AC/DC (Bon Scott and Brian Johnson), Celine DIon, Karen Carpenter, Linda Rondstadt, I could keep going. Just blessed to see amazing performers in many "genres" ... some can sing in more than one ... Floor is one of the few that can sing the phone and she has. Find it on youtube during an interview she was challenged as joke ... she nailed it! Your heartfelt genuine reactions is what drives her, to please the audience and give them beauty during crazy little thing called life

Hello and thank you for reacting to my favourite band, i stopped listening to radiostations many,many years ago, everything just for the quick money makers. A few years ago somebody suggested to me to listen to Floor Jansen en Henk Poort, singing the phantom of the opera on a dutch tv show and that she sings in a symphonic metalband called Nightwish, i listened to the phantom, was blown away and started listening to Nightwish. I regonized your reaction ( the emotion) and i actually cried because i didn't know what was happening to me. the first song for me was Ghost Love Score and after that there was no way back, for the very first time in my life i was a fan from a band, i think i was 61 years old . Nightwish is a very nice group of people who love what they are doing. So thanks again and see you at the next one, greetings from the Netherlands.

This was the 13th song on a 15 song set , Storytime was the 6th song of the set , so massive shout out for the stamina and respect to the drummer he is awesome . Ive bought the CD of this concert , and what do say about Floor Jansen i would say the best female vocalist ive heard and im 60 and been seriously into music since 1976 . What joy and enthusiasm you two have in this reaction. Love it. My wife, Carol, and I just got a chance to see Nightwish live at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco and Ghost Love Score was the next-to-last song on the setlist. Floor and the entire band were so good on every single song and the two-hour show flew by so fast. The experience was incredible. Thank you for continuing to react to Nightwish. This entire Wacken 2013 show was great but here are some other live shows that were also outstanding: Tampere 2015, Wembley 2015, The Nightwish Cruise on the Baltic Princess 2015, Buenos Aires 2018 and many others. You were definitely born to listen to NW😉. They are touring in Europe this year, so you may have a possibility to listen to them live. NW "army" has a "general", Gabriel, from Romania, he usually comes and tells you about the history of NW and gives recommendations what to listen to next. I would recommend Storytime, Song of myself and Ghost River from this concert, Last Ride of the Day from Masters of Rock, I wish I had an Angel Argentinan tour to begin with..

So happy you enjoyed this unique and amazing composition by Tuomas Holopainen (keys), the genius who composes most of the music and lyrics for Nightwish.. You said it Dominika, "Masterpiece"! As the song progressed so did the big beautiful smiles, and Andrei's smile took on more of a look of amazement and shock. Now you have had 2 experiences listening to the Dutch Valkyrie Queen of symphonic metal, Floor Jansen. Floor has gone through operatic and musical theater training as well as developed a Master Class as a vocal coach. She refers to herself as a vocal technique nerd. Always bringing different colors and styles to her expressive and emotional storytelling approach to singing. Buckle up for the journey my friends. It will be a ride like no other. Nightwish music runs the gamut from heavy metal with a touch of Orchestration, to Celtic Folk/Rock. Each song brings a new experience. If you are so inclined, check out the lyrics in the subs or on-line and you will discover that they are very poetic in nature using copious metaphors and imagery to express the story being told. I want as many people as possible to see, hear..... experience this unbelievable song and epic epic performance. Took some time...8 years!! to reach me and the song is almost 20 years old. If she hadn't be my compatriot and hadn't participated in Beste Zangers i would have missed it completely and some other great songs too like poet and the pendulum which is their other masterpiece. Next best thing, dim the lights, use a big screen and a good audioset to enjoy it even more. Beste Zangers, Shallow, Phantom of the opera and so on,you won't believe what you see and hear. It's a recommendation and you won't be dissapointed by her incredible vocal skills. Phantom of the opera,Shallow and some other song enhanced.

Great reaction. Floor Jansen is a vocal athlete with incredible range, versatility, vocal stamina, and stage presence. She is a spinto soprano with a range of around four octaves. Floor joined her first band (After Forever) at the very young age of 16. She also attended the Rock Academie in the Netherlands and studied opera and musical theater after that. Floor has spent the better part of her life fine-tuning her instrument with help from several Master vocal coaches (She is also a certified Master vocal coach). Floor can sing in multiple languages, styles and genres. She often refers to herself as a vocal nerd. This Valkyrie goddess is a true gift to her craft and an incredible addition to Nightwish. The Band hired her in 2012 as a temporary replacement for their previous vocalist Anette Olson (2nd vocalist hired after the original Tarja) to finish out the North American tour. In 2013 Nightwish officially announced that Floor and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Troy Donockley are now permanent members of the band. Welcome to the Nightwish rabbit hole. Dear Mrs. and Mr. MerchantOfAlba, this was a joy to watch. In differing parts you facial expressions went from "Yah, sure" to "Quite entertaining, no fault in this" to "Pretty remarkable" (just my interpretation of watching two faces, my take on it, nothing more). The song is one of the Nightwish perennials, appearing on their setlist perpetually. And Floor has really made this song what it is today, her interpretation is now the gold standard.
