Oh shut up, they were clearly placing focus on her when Marco was calling her our Mistress and such later on, not in this video but those at Download will remember, plus she obviously comes out last being the front-women, it's pretty obvious the intro was planned without her being on stage and her entrance for Storytime was to get the crowd going from the start and to make it exciting. She was so lovely and nice to the crowd, I'm getting sick of people slating her when she is clearly talented.

In my humble opinion Floor got the best of both other singers combined in her unique power voice. All songs from Wacken Open Air Live is much better than the Studio version record by Tarja and Annette. She killed each song with maestry and I think I'm becoming a Nightwish fan, it's so crazy the amount of goosebumps she made me feel. Jeeez!

I totally agree with Tuomas. He wrote most of those albums for Annette’s voice and style. I personally thing imaginaerum the best NW album. Although circumstances ultimately lead to the ‘you have 48 hours to learn the set’ request to Floor, there is no doubt that Nightwish both could not and should not replace Tarja with a ‘Tarja clone’. I don't really even know WHERE to begin, but IMAGINAERUM is MY intro to Nightwish. It first began with having heard Ghost River on accident via Google Play Music, and I ended up Purchasing the entire album roughly three years ago.. Only recently have I listened to the entire album during a recent run, and man.. What a fucking awesome album. I am in love with this Music. I've been listening to Tarja a lot recently, but only as her solo artist and never even knew she was the original singer for Nightwish! What irony. I have grown to love this genre, and I've more or less have listened before with bands like Amberian Dawn,Epica,Leaves eyes, and Xandria. I think I had gotten a suggestion from Google Music for Nightwish based on the pre-mentioned bands I had been listening to off and on. I usually listen to Symphony X, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, Pagan's Mind, Circus Maximus, and Rhapsody of Fire. Before all that was Yngwie Malmsteen. But Imaginaerum is sort of my intro to Nightwish, and really love Anette Olzon's voice between the three. Her voice seems to suit this band the best, however I think she has a new project now which I'll begin following. But can anyone recommend another great Nightwish album? Thanks! Cheers!

Shit, a year an no response... well, if you haven't already by now, listen to Dark Passion Play. It was my introduction to the band and Anette gets a lot of hate, but her voice fit these albums perfectly. And if you listen to her singing in studio, her voice is amazing. That said, Endless Forms Most Beautiful is my favorite. It might take a few listens as each album with a new vocalist is made to suit the vocalist (good job tuomas) but after a few listens, it's beyond brilliant. So in short... lol... Dark Passion play if you like anette. Endless Forms Most Beautiful as my personal suggestion.

I have to say Anette was pretty off here. I really like Anette's work on record, and I think she's a lovely lady, don't get me wrong. But live there is no comparison. The performance by Floor at the 2013 Wacken Festival shows that the band made the right decision. They were limited somewhat when they had Anette, at least live. Now they have a powerhouse singer and front woman, and the sky's the limit. I wish both Nightwish and Anette the best of luck. I think Anette has a bright future, and I will gladly listen to whatever she puts out. Look at it this way, now we get her solo work and Nightwish. Double the music. I only hope the band gets together with Anette to work out some issues, and say goodbye. They owe her that.

First of all, im a NW fanboy, not their particular singer. So yes, Floor was a right choice, but anyway, she cant sing Anette's songs correctly. She dont have this high-pitched voice, she is more about rich and deep opera-ish style, thats why she can handle Nemo (more or less) and made Ghost Love Score great again. Her Amaranth, Storytime et cetera delivers me nothing but cringe and pain.

@@MorusRubra Yes, which also includes her use of vocal enhancers to amplify her voice. That was used only once by Olzon which has been recorded, which was Saltzburg on the DPP tour. Olzon stated sometime in the middle of that tour (can't remember in which interview) that she felt it wasn't right for her to use it, and hence she quit using that. But with Jansen, we get it every time, except when it fails, like Bloodstock and Rock in Rio. But oh no.. I forgot.. that is the sound people's fault that she sounds like a dong fresh out of hell. No way it can be Jansen's real voice.. lol.. goodness you Floor Jansen fans..

Everyone prefers Floor lol. To be honest I like Anette a lot more than Floor with this song. The song is never the same without the original singer. I admit Floor is talented and she brings more of a rock/metal singer style to the band which I really like but with the songs Anette already made with Nightwish, her gentler/softer tone just suits these songs perfectly in my opinion. Until Floor has her own original songs she made with Nightwish, I will always prefer Tarja and Anette over Floor for their original songs they singled.

Anyone liking the intro but not yet exactly knowing the original symphonic poem Finlandia (aka 'Suomi Herää' aka 'Pro Patria') Op. 26 by Jean Sibelius written in 1899 might enjoy checking out the very piece from which this hymn theme has been times and again extracted for various purposes during the past century. Nightwish is epic whoever is singing. They bring up true emotion and chart a course to fantastic worlds and feelings. And Imaginaerum, the CD and movie, are simply awesome. Never sell Anette short.

Uh. New fan. I hit this so I wouldn't have to go pop in the bluray. Sorry guys, all I could think is "what did they do to the song"??!!! I wasn't paying attention to who was singing. I don't know this lead though I'm aware she exists. But it makes clear just how far Floor brought this song with her take on it in such a short time. I don't want to hate on Annette; but, this song is foreign to me coming out of her and it's just not got it the way Floor's version does. I'm aware it might get me a tad scorched.. but I've heard Tarja and I love her and Floor. This, was like looking at a juicy steak, biting in and finding out it was sculpted tofu. I'm sure tofu is glorious to someone as well; but, when you're expecting steak, it's just bleah. I'll give her another crack on something else at some point but I do not want to trash her so I'm going to leave it at that. Sure she's a great artist. Just not on this.

I think that people hate Anette, because it's Anette - just for the rule. Even if she will sing GLS like Tarja, she will be hated forever. For me she sang this song very good.

Tarja was never even mentioned? LOL. The point I'm making is that you're suggesting it was her than initiated the late entrance when it was clearly a planned thing, she isn't trying to concentrate all of the fan focus on her but the rest of the band were placing focus on her, it wasn't self initiated, And no, that wasn't all you said in your comment, you said Marco overpowers her in every single way - which needlessly slating her, if it wasn't for her we wouldn't have Nightwish at all.
