She actually won all the fans over on the 2013 tour, which includes the Waken festival...she flew in and famously learnt the set list in 48hours....and smashed out the rest of the tour as if they were written for her - this was their first album with songs written for her only.

Nightwish is always best served live! Watch this song at the Buenos Aires concert 2018..fantastic. You can't compare the three singers in my humble opinion. They are so different but for me Floor is the most versatile and fits the band perfectly. Best singer ever🤘❤️

One of their nicest ballads "Dead boys poem life at Buenos Aires" and a heavier one "Weak fantasy life at Tampere". Nightwish is always better served live🙂

What you'll discover with Floor is that she isn't simply a mix of Tarja and Anette (both of whom I love, especially Tarja) but completely her own kind of vocalist who can do it all and then some. Quite an extraordinary lady.

You have now officially put the tiniest microscopic scratch in the surface. And if you are a bassist you had better check out how Marco fits in. Try 'Romaticide' 'Seven days to the wolves' 'Ghost river' 'Yours is an empty hope' Song of myself' Oh I can only think of another twenty of so but You will get there. It takes three live versions to get you properly hooked.

Floor definitely took this band to a new level imo, she is amazing! They have really good live videos, Wacken of course and there are many from Wembley as well.🤘🏻 Fun fact, Kai (drummer) is from my hometown! 🙂

Eartherial is a cool way to describe Floor. The whole band for that matter. You need to do The Greatest Show On Earth from the same album. Yes it is 21 minutes long but only feels like 5 minutes. Epic song. If you do it, do the one from Tampere. Very dramatic

I love this song. To me, this song is the call of death, promising not fear but adventure and joy. Like she's the voice of an angel guiding them through the transition from life to the afterlife. And in the end, the hard-working eldery all end up at the bar dancing and enjoying life(afterlife?). ^_^

the theme of this video was to show old or abandoned places brought back to life. all the people who see are famous Finnish actors. was great for the band members that they all enthusiastically agreed to appear in the video. Tuomas actually had another song, Edema Ruh, in mind for the first single. during the rehearsals for the new album, the other band members kept coming back to this song. they would often play it as the last song of the day, so this became the first single. should check out the second single, the title track, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful". it's a super cool video as well.

The Greatest Show on Earth (2015, Tampere, use lyrics), Islander (2015, Tampere, use lyrics), I Want My Tears Back (Live In Buenos Aires 2019, you said in your Ghost Love Score review that you thought it was weird they were so still... look at this explosion of energy, from the crowd and the band, especially the singer, it. is. insane.), Ever Dream & Song of Myself & The Last Ride of the Day (all three at Wacken 2013, same one as Ghost Love Score). There's so much to go, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it all. If you'd like to delve deeper into Nightwish, there's a documentary of Nightwish and specifically the singer change, called "please learn the setlist in 48 hours" which tells the story of how Anette was changed to Floor, and there's a public letter which tells how Tarja left the band (the specifics of which you should research before tackling Poet and the Pendulum - which should also be watched live with lyrics). Nightwish is always better served live, as much as I understand that you wanted to see the singles side-to-side, you're missing on their energy and live prowess.... (There is a live verion of Elan at Wembley that will deny all your complaints of the single ;) )

The songs you have sampled are some of the more catchy singles and of course Ghost Love Score which is just epic. They also have a harder side as well that is not as catchy but still very big and symphonic. If you wanna continue with the music videos then you should check out Noise next which is the single from the latest album which was released this year. For some samples of heavier songs you should check out: Romanticide Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean Yours is an Empty Hope Weak Fantasy When Floor became a permanent member of the group they also added Troy Donockley which plays various ethnic instruments like Uilleann pipes which is an irish badpipe, various flutes and string instruments like the bouzouki. You could hear some of that on Elan and he was also in the video.

I realy dont think it is a shame that it took a bit longer for the song to get to his highs. Its a long nice build up and it lets you apreciate it even more. I am realy in love with this song and i think its perfect in my eyes. Maybe it is the honeymoon phase that dont ends for me with this song.

Agree, Floor has the best of both worlds. If I'm not mistaken, this is also the first album in which Troy (flute) is a full time member. The other single from this album, which in my opinion is slightly better, is Endless Forms Most Beautiful. It has a lot of biological references.

I love this song but it is very ‘radio friendly’. We all know most radio stations don’t play the type of songs that Nightwish create. They are far better live though. Any track from Wacken 2013, Tampere 2015, Wembley 2016
