BEST COMMENT , that can help you understand the messages hidden in this video:(Kai Klomann comment) King Troy is wering a crown made out of Cranes, an oilrig etc symbolizing the Conercens ruling over us all, he is wearing golden plateau shoes, wich symbolizes that his status and hight is only build on his Money, later he stands up from a holden Throne (Toilet) well that speaks from his self The People with the Phones including Kai and Emppu are barefoot and hooded, like medieval monks, wich symbolizes that there social media is like religion for them, but seamingly at random some times it backfires and one of them gets singled out Floor is wearing a Cage skirt and trapping "baby floor" in it symbolizes the over protective parents who "abuse" there children to accomplish that in life what they self wished for but they couldn't MArco is a Sales man from the Pharma Industrie selling us supplements that do nothing for us but feed there greed, and in the end get angry and depressed over it the blond girl (Jessica Eckström if i recall right) symbolizes the youth and beauty craze Tuomas has the role of an eco activist who demonstrates for nature just to been seen by it to be a better person, but in his private bathroom he bathes very happyly in the polluted water with his rubber duck doing nothing of that what he posted in the media the newborn babe, is strapped in to an Mini TV, getting indoctrinated and covered by the medial noise for his whole life (as we see when the tv on the head of the old man goes black an he dies) and all this happening over and over on countless altars while out side the real world dawns in an nother beautfull and peacefull sunrise

The whole group of hooded people staring at their cell phone represents uniformity, we are all expected to act and behave in the same way. The song is about the addiction to instant gratification whether it be social media, pills, drugs, attention. People will say anything or post anything to get likes. People are addicted to how the world sees them, but hide who they really are. And no one is able to shut it all down and see the natural beauty around them because they're too obsessed with themselves

To all those who are simply talking about the message of the single, remember: At the end of the day, be the change you want to see in the world. I'll be honest - I heard the audio track last night...several times! The video blows me away. I agree with some of the thoughts on the little girl, but I also think she symbolises the way some children are sexualised in child "beauty" pageants. Also, parents who are fearful of letting their child go out and explore the countryside. Let's be honest - paedophiles are not a recent phenomenon. But I'm glad for the clarity on Tuomas's character. It makes me think of those who virtue-signal about being Vegan amongst other things. Yet vegetable farming is depriving us of topsoil. And I'm surprised it took you nearly two minutes to cry. I know they were happy tears, but I still wanted to hug you. 😋 My Mum and Dad have lived in Spain since 2003, so I completely understand wanting to do simple things like talk to your Mum. I am guilty of putting on a mask of cheerfulness for her, when my life is quite the reverse. And we need more Tauri Dance! That needs to be A Thing in your videos. 😁
@TauriReacts5 жыл бұрын
No one needs to see more of that dance lmao... but yes, I agree with you on all the things you said about the little girl too. I'm so happy my parents let us wander, explore and just be children. We had a dirt track at the end of our road that led to a brook, we'd ride our bikes down to it and play in it for hours, if not all day.

I really loved your reaction - and I mean that in a literal sense; no "noise" from my part here! ❤ Others have already commented on the message(s) this song and video is stating. I agree with J.F. Luiña Bousquet's comment that this is more about the abuse of technology, including using social media to stroke one's own ego. We live in a time and, when it comes to the Western world, culture that in effect encourage narcissism. I don't think anyone in Nightwish would dream of criticising someone for calling their mum on the phone! 😊 Technology has many good aspects, but like most things it can be abused and the results can be pretty serious; there have been studies of how e.g. Facebook causes psychological addiction and depression, especially among women. If I recall correctly, using the phone while driving is considered to be comparable to driving under the influence from a road traffic safety perspective. When I was walking around downtown recently, a guy wooshed past me on a bike, ignoring the red lights, all while staring intently at his mobile phone. No one around him reacted. The criticism this song/video delivers is very relevant.

Basically this is how this goes IMO. The video starts from the image of a child being blinded to the real world by this VR helmet. Then we see the hooded people staring at their phones while Mona Lisa is right in front of them. And in the meantime we hear the lyrics: "You have become Tool of a tool Digital ghouls telling you To shut up and dance" So basically this is a question. Do you use Facebook to search for info? Or maybe it's the Facebook deciding in its own what you can or cannot know? Do you look at the pictures on Instagram? Or maybe you're letting the Instagram to tell you how your life should look like? Are you using technology or maybe it those "digital ghouls" of Facebook, KZbin and Instagram that are using and controlling you? Then a few other images. The woman in the red dress is a real Instagram model hired for the video. She seems beautiful, then we see her undergoing all those painful procedures just to look this way. But the folk on Instagram never see it happening. They don't know the dark side to her beauty. They don't know it all artificial. Then there's Floor, constantly putting pictures of a happy family. Later we see her taking constant shots while her daughter is bored and Floor doesn't care. And also she's keeping her daughter under her dress like a cage. Of course that isn't her real daughter. Floor is very protective about her daughter and never even posted any picture of her daughter's face. Marko is the pills salesman. It's like he's trying to claim that his pills will solve any problem. But in reality he's having a very miserable life and somehow his pills aren't helping. Troy is the king on the golden throne. But he doesn't really care about all those people bowing to him nor does he care about how he looks when camera is facing the other way. We see him standing up - he's sitting on a toilet! Talk about being full of sh***t... Empuu is one of the monks of social media religion. Then it backfires on him when he gets attacked for no reason. Kai is taking pictures of Empuu being beaten up. It doesn't even occur to him that maybe he should actually do something to save Empuu. Then lastly there's the tree hugger Tuomas. The first sign of something being off is the fact that he is literally both anti-nuclear and pro-nuclear, depending on which way he turns his sign. Then in the end of the video we see him bathing in raw oil. He is posing as an eco-activist online just because it's trendy. But in reality he is just as much dependent on the fossil fuel as the rest of us and he isn't really trying to change that. His eco-activism is just for show.

If this doesn't disturb you, there might be something wrong with you. Tuomas portrayed pretend, virtue-signaling environmentalism worn like some cheap plastic fashion accessory, and as a life-long, real-world conservationist, I greatly appreciate that.

Love this reaction! But let me give an advice: Don't pause the song, just react, do the breakdown afterwards

I pause because I'll forget what I want to say in that moment, and I don't want to be writing notes in the middle of a song and be distracted that way.

@@TauriReacts you can talk over it. But it's quite distracting when u pause it too much. A time or two is okay. I'm not telling u how to do your videos m8, but there is a difference between a "Reaction" and a breakdown. Cheers!

@@sebastianhelin8034 you are here for my reaction, that is my reaction in the moment. I don't feel I give a "breakdown" at all when I pause, a few simple comments here and there and then we continue. It's how I've done it since the beginning of my channel, and how I will continue to do it. 😊
