Anette sang jazz with her mother when she was young, that's why Tuomas wrote this jazz song to her. This whole concert is one of Anettes best, Nightwish at a jazzfestival was it in Montreux 2012.

That's why Anette is great, not performing the repertoire from Tarja, but with her own vocal qualities. Floor did a fine job with this Slow Love Slow song, nevertheless I prefer Anette with her smooth and sooth smokey jazzy touch. Also her stunning Nightwish performances of Eva, Turn loose the Mermaids, Scaretale, Meadows of Heaven, and The Crow The Owl and the Dove are highly recommended for your comments on this channel. Anette deserves it to get more attention from all our viewers. Only my own opinion.

Fir me the performance to watch is live at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2012. Seeing Nigjtwish in an intimate Jazz club-type environment, with Tuomas at piano is worth it.

You are getting closer and closer to movie 'Imaginaerum', this video has few takes from it and I think from Jazz festival - not sure.. Definitely slower Nightwish, and was made to be performed by Anette and she nails it🥰👋

This is the only jazz like Nightwish song. I believe Anette has some jazz in her background. This is one of her best songs. Floor did a version of this song at her solo show in Amsterdam last year, same show as the Phantom of the Opera video you watched yesterday. Scaretale , which you did a couple weeks ago, is the creepy Halloween type song of theirs.

This is awesome (as always) they are and do. Different NW (a bit jazzy) - they can do what ever. Marco can do play fat bass as well as guitar. Tuomas is a genius - we do know - he formulated this in this album perfectly for Anette to sing and Marco to harmonize.

Not sure if he played it live, but Marko does play a stand up bass and cello. Emppu doesn't play showy, he plays to the song...always. His restraint is proof of his talent.

A fairly unique Nightwish song. This is one song that Anette did quite well live. There is a video from their performance at the Montreux Jazz festival in 2012 that is worth watching sometime. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJyUm5iAd9SWmJo Tuomas was inspired by American 1930s nightclub music, a genre new to the band. It is also influenced by David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. I found in the liner notes that the acoustic bass was attributed to someone simply named Röskö. So, I assume it was not Marko on the stand-up. Changy-aroundy is good!

Lovely reaction! This is one of her best songs, especially live. I love how her voice has matured since leaving Nightwish and I think it is even better. Fuller, richer. Love her work with The Dark Element (kzbin.info/www/bejne/fl7Zqppri9uaaas ) and her latest collaboration with Russell Allen (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpDdYaV5ftuNoLc). Beautiful songs that really show the power and beauty of her voice.

Anette was the reason I lost interest in NW. Too soft and too poppy and live horrible IMHO. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHOqaXqarrGMes0 sounds this song quite different. After rediscovering NW I put myself to the task to listen to all Anette songs. My opinion hasn’t changed….. Luckily more and more songs are picked up by Floor, with or without NW.
