G'day guys, today we are reacting to Nightwish The Islander. Marco did such a great job on this. It took me by surprise when he started playing guitar and singing. I loved when the rest of the band joined in but still Marco was leading.

@@jannbents2019 Not sure. Seems to fit solo better. Would fit perfectly on an album like his just released solo album "Mustan sydämen rovio" (currently only in Finnish. English coming in near future). If you haven't heard the single "Isäni ääni" look it up. It is great!

Try 'While your Lips are still red' from the Wembley concert 2016. Marco and the band are even better there. Made for a movie originally I think.

Marco is a major star in Finland even outside NW. doing shows tv, things with others, he is an Icon.. In Finland he is just more than a man. And that smile you make.. It cant be helped.. That is what NW do. They are beyond music. Join the Journey. learn things about you you didnt know was there. never look back. From now on there isnt life without NW. Its just like all the talent of music was put into this band. Drums, guitar and bass, singers from heaven. and a god of words.. a composer that has no likeness.

Marco's a great and versatile singer. He acctually wanted to go to a proper classical music school when he was younger. However he liked to sing with distortion so the school didn't want him, believing his voice whould not last long. Nightwish acctually have three singers in their current line up, Floor and Marco's obvious... however Troy(flutes, pipes and whistles) can also sing and he ain't a bad singer either. At the moment Troy mostly do harmonies, however he sings the opening to My Walden and he also sang The remastered "The carpenter" during the decades tour. I guess most of the scandinavian fans first got introduced to his singing on the Baltic Princess during the little side gig when they played unplugged and mostly did covers. Marko is so talented in so many ways. He has done the base work really well. Practising hard from the age of 12. He can play guittar, base, chello, violin, drums and keyboatds, at least.

The Finnish version of Marko's album Mustan Sydämen Rovio, has been out for a month and a half now, it will be also released in English later on, but I don't know if there's a date for that.

Great reaction! Now that you have heard a live version. You should watch the original very creative Official Video for the song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y17Xd3mwaZmtrMU I believe this is one of the few songs not written by Tuomas. But rather by Marco. It is because of this song, that Troy first got involved with Nightwish, as a session player. He is also the pipe player you see towards the end of the Official Video.

1:23 I genuinly started laughing🤣💞I understand why you got confused,but Marco is not mad at the others by any means. He is simply kidding alot here,by calling them non flattering nicknames,and that they left him alone out with the masses of people. I know at this point,that you are in for a pleasant surprise. The band simply wanted Marco to start off this with the crowd alone,as it is one of HIS songs (lead vocals) 4:18 I spot relief,understanding in Patrol Gamins eyes.💞"There they are!"Whats interesting is,i love the music video for this too. But i noticed one thing,Floor completes his main vocals,so clear,not too overwhelming,just perfectly LIVE. I could barely hear Annette....in theyr studio recording......in a studio recording! And its probably the song where she would be able to shine,as its theyr slowest song. Just another reason why im forever thankful for Floor coming in. Now the guys know they can play on full register again,be as creative as they want to be. They all sound better together,then they ever did in the past!

Another NW surprise!!! This band is capable of so many surprises and yes Marco can really sing and play the guitar. The joke early on was the band left him out there by himself to entertain 20,000+ fans. I think he did a damn good job of that. Nice to see Floor as a backup singer (LOL). This is a real Folk Metal song but if you really want to hear Marco and Nightwish try their cover of Pink Floyd's High Hopes (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqCodaGMmr6Mr68), only a band as good as NW would dare tackle a Pink Floyd classic and nail it, Marco is just sensational with this cover you owe it to your self to try it out. Floor is amazing at it, she has that ability and intuition to make slight changes to "blend in" better and hold back in order not to contest Marco for the spotlight in his own song. This is the calibre of musician we're dealing with here.
