Great reaction, new subscriber here! The nice venue near by the lake in the video is in Kitee, Finland where they had their second last gig so far last June. I was there in the front row witnessing how wonderfully she performed even though she was heavily pregnant. Greetings from Finland!

From the latest album I could recommend An Ocean of Strange Islands. That’s a masterpiece! And of course Lanternlight, which is the last song of the album, and just overwhelmingly beautiful, slow song.

Nice reaction. As I see you are interested in the evolving I wonder if you did already mention the new album Yesterwynde? If not here is my resume: Yesterwynde: This album is like an old concept album by Pink Floyd, you might take the time to listen to it from the first song all thru to the last one. After about 50 times now it grew on me up to the 5 best albums I own - and I am 64 now and have about 8000 records. The last song -Lanternlight- is my personal song of the year 2024 by far. It is very, VERY different but exactly that is the reason. For me Nightwish has evolved to those rare bands, that create art without any consideration to what anybody expected or to say it the short way: Nightwish does Nightwish things. Greetings from Germany

One of the heavier songs on Human:II:Nature. Kai had to add to his drum kit for this. Jukka Koskinen came from Wintersun, same as Kai did. Obviously the video portion was a compilation of several concerts, but I think the audio is from 1 show. No live performances from the new album. They had said they won't tour the album, taking a break. Tuomas is working on the next Auri album, with tour dates for that scheduled next year. Rumor says 2026 before we see NW on the road again. Yersterwynde is the new album title. 4 singles : "Perfume Of the Timeless", "The Day Of...", "An Ocean of Strange Islands" , and the ballad "Lanternlight". 'Ocean" has a lyric video, the other 3 have music videos. My favorite of the non singles are "The Antikythera Mechanism" and "The Children Of 'Ata"

Amazingly during this tour Floor was diagnosed with breast cancer and received treatment and continued to tour only to discover her pregnancy. The show where she is most pregnant was in June and the penultimate show as she did only one more before taking a break to have Lucy in October. Six weeks later she was in her home studio and recorded all the vocals for the latest Nightwish album Yesterwynde, in six days !!

The last album from Sept 2024 has no live versions available. They are not planning to tour the album, but have signed with the label for a few more. I think the strong involvement of the orchestra and choirs in the last album arrangements may have complicated a live show, and they needed a break. The last song, Lantern light, only has vocals, piano, and the orchestra, but it is gorgeous and emotional.

Nightwish will return to the stage in 2026 for a 30th anniversary tour. No live stuff from the current record yet!

Nightwish will not be touring this album, and have no current plans to tour in the near future. Tuomas has said that they need to take a long hiatus from touring for "deeply personal reasons". It saddens me to think that I may never get to experience them live myself. It feels like a moment in time has passed, an opportunity lost, to witness something both important and so very special, that would have been so incredibly fulfilling to be a part of. Tuomas has hinted that they may tour again in the future ... "as fun as the virtual concert experience was, there's no beating live music", so I will continue to live in hope. At least I can watch these wonderful live videos, and experience them vicariously through those. All the very best from Australia. 🤘
