There's plenty of people who like all 3. They all bring their own takes on things, Nightwish could recycle anyone except Tuomas and be fine. Like him or not, the man is a musical genius and the true identity of Nightwish. I'd be really sad if Marko ever left though lol.

Annette's voice is like it's taken from a fairy tale. Sweet, steady, concise, beautiful. It's unfolds like a fairy tale. It's magical. :-) I really like Imaginaerum. Tarja, Annette and Floor are all talented and unique in their own way. I just believe that Floor can sing many styles, she uses her voice the way she wants, she has a great technique and vocal range and together with Nightwish (amazing musicians) they can go on a veeeery high level.

I agree with you. Each woman brought something amazing. I think this is going to sound strange but if one were to put Tarja and Anette into a blender they would get Floor. Tarja's strength and operatic sensibilities with Anette's crisp vocals, pop/rock core strength all in one singer. Tuomas is lucky to have had 3 such great singers to bring his genius compositions to life ... and then we have the band. 👑🎹🎤🥁🎸🎻🎶❤🇫🇮🤘

It's amazing that people can't seem to see how important this era was for Nightwish, when it comes to the instrumental aspect. Especially during this album they finally decided orchestra and choirs should be at least as important as the traditional metal instruments. This is what makes Nightwish unique these days in the symphonic metal genre. Without this album endless forms most beautiful wouldn't be nearly as good as it was a direct successor to once.

I'm a (relatively) new NW listener, but to me this song is about the loss of emotion and passion as one ages. This album is about an aging composer, and I think he's looking back on youth and romanticizing the passion he once felt for life; the wonder and the awe. Because without that passion, you can't truly be creative. So in searching for his tears, his passion back, the subject of the song is hoping for one last creative ghasp before his life ends.
@TruthNTime
@TruthNTime 6 ай бұрын
It's actually a song about Tuomas (bands leader and song writer) wanting all his tears back for all the times he cried over Tara (bands first, and without question best singer). In case you didn't know, he always had the biggest crush on her but she never reciprocated his feelings. He held his love for her (which all the band members knew about) for the longest time hoping (in vain) that one day Tara would end up falling for him...but it never happened. In fact this uncomfortable situation was one of the biggest reasons Tara left the band.
@blue_sky_bright_sun7599
@blue_sky_bright_sun7599 3 ай бұрын
it’s exactly what it’s about. he wants the wonder back and he recognizes he can only get it back through feeling things. so he wants his tears back, his feelings, because those while maybe hurting were also putting him in a state of wonder and a world filled with color which made him feel alive. anyone who thinks this is about Tarja, hasn’t REALLY looked at the lyrics. He wants back those night filled with wonder and inspiration, he wants back the capacity to feel things intensely. This is about his creativity not about resentment at the tears he may have she’s for his crush. You can also tell by the happy/enthusiasm vibe of the song. If this were a resentful song it would be far darker. It’s about him and his creativity and I like your take on it, because it can apply to so many people.

@@TruthNTime that’s just assumptions. she may have been his Muse but you spinners a whole dramatic story there lol. could be, could also not be. he didn’t seem to care much about her feelings though, so i’d say she was more of a muse, not even a crush.

The fact that someone prefers one of the singers doesn't mean he doesn't like the other two.I personally prefer Floor for many reasons,but I enjoy Tarja's and Anette's periods .Floor can sing beautifully most (not all) of Tarja's songs and almost every Anette song.But the most important reason that I like her is because she brought a sense of joy and family to the band.I mean,I love the dark existential search,the romantism, fantasy & gothic style that established Nightwish as the top symphonic metal band,but look at the dramatic change in "Endless Forms Most Beautiful".The old elements still exist in the background, BUT..! Joy,gratitude and...yes,love are dominant.Tuomas is the cornerstone of NW,the old members are the foundation but Floor is the strong glue that binds it all together,with her versatile,powerful,angelic voice and her sensitive,emotional interpretation !! I'm expecting great things from now on from our favourite band.Αnd yes,I hope & believe that some day we'll see all three singers on stage with the band,at an extraordinary event !!!

I was singing the lyrics for this song wrong for sooooo long. xD "Where is the wonder? Where's the awe? Where are sleepless nights I used to live form? Live for that 'Yes, take me!' I wish to see the lust in me." 🙊🙊🙊😟

Alan Aguilar it sounds so cheerful, then you read the lyrics and realize it's about an elderly person who lost the meaning of their life,and is longing for a time when everything was an adventure. It just seems utterly depressing to me.
