I caught it. Started the game, read a forum that said I had to level to 200 as a sorc to play magic archer. I'm level 75 now. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! I'm going to switch to what I actually want to play as soon as I load it up.

Sorc is horrible for MA(only want levels 101-200) You want strider for 11-100 There is actually a mod on Nexus that does this so you can level MA the entire way without having to switch classes...

Hard doubles Stamina use and a pure sorc cant even cast rebalancer 4 times for the ~+120% magic damage increase without a pot. 180 base magic of sorc over strider ends up being like ~8% dps difference end game. To clear trash you cant afford to cast rebalancer 4 times constantly and so actually do less DPS and clear levels slower in BBI for a slightly faster BOSS kill time. Strider+sorc Magic archer with a 9 fold ring +magic rebalancer can kill Daemon in about 2-3 shots. about 6 seconds :P

@@givemeanameman1 Wrong, level 36 with pure sorc and can cast 4 with half stamina at least left. Weaving in powerful basic attacks, moreso when you're enchanted, does considerable damage and sometimes even out dpses your spells. Early on before you get the big boi magic bows, the value of having sorc stats really stands out, not to mention it will take 40-140 hours in before you get really powerful gear that offsets your stats, depends on if you rush or not. That said, play what you want, just use a mod if you want sorc stat growth without having to play a sorc.

@@SyperDT Try playing on hard, its where the game gets fun and where Stamina use is increased. I also have no idea what you are talking about basic attacks out DPS spells... You should be using melee/bow, not spells. There is no situation where using spells with MA is better then bow... Bow skills are not spells and they apply your base damage ontop of the skill. Unless a target is resistant to ice/holy/Lightning damage Three/six/nine fold, Seeker/Hunter, and Ricochet will always do more damage then basic attack even with enchantment because enchantments boost your magic power and change your damage type. These skills only change the damage type back, they still use the boosted magic attack power.

There is so many times i've started this game just to leave it and come back later and repeat the process, because I read somewhere that you have to play majority of the game another vocation before touching the vocation you want to play. Ugh i cant wait for dd 2 i rewatch your vids all the time lmao, this game had The BEST concept of combat in any rpg ive ever played, even with the somewhat glitchs mounting system and lack of story. the idea still is amazing and if they make a part 2 with the nex gen capabilities fixing climbing, and write a more detailed story with more cutscenes and depth. Its potential to be the best rpg ever is right there. (Hopefully co-op with friends instead of pawns optional too)

Hopefully you can customize all of the pawns in a party too, better with the option to have humans in the party, perhaps them being allowed to have hybrid vocations, but with the risk of actually dying, and needing a wake stone to come back. Better AI without a doubt would be amazing too. The customization for it was excellent, but difficult to understand, especially for newcomers. More skills and abilities per class too, since while there was more than enough, each class could be customized even further in much greater detail to greater augment the feeling of individuality. I dont think anyone would be against these kinds of added features, since they only expand on the game. And as Capcom will be charging full price for the game, we should be getting a quality product.

I haven’t played this game in quite some time... randomly skipped to around 4h 50mins and knew exactly where you were in bitterblack isle. Running through bitterblack isle with the *magick archer* using the *ricochet hunter* was so fun, using that with the *ninefold bolt* makes you pretty much unstoppable! Death was a pain, but managed to trap him in a corridor and spammed the *ricochet hunter* before he could disappear (again). I love this game so much! DD2 needs to be ‘risen’ already!

I did a pure magic Archer playthrough a few months back. The beginning was a bit dull at times (takes quite a while to get the second bow) but I enjoyed most of it. And at the end you still destroy everything effortlessly even without a single sorcerer level.

DF Rusted daggers are always great to keep on hand for the MA build. Hitting an enemy with Torpor makes your own charge times a lot more bearable.

My current character does the last 80 levels to patch up my magic defense and it's great fun. It doesn't feel like you can mess up magick Archer stats either since rebalancer gives you plenty of power for your bow and strength makes immolation quite powerful.

The only solo problem I have encountered was the Metal Golem in the Sparyard of Scant Mercy. I won't stoop to use Great Sacrifice so I just bring in my pawn as a melee character to progress. Did I miss something Nihil0.0? Also sorcerer has a problem with Death.

Do you know, to go in the Witchwood you can enter by the exit... The first time I was just exploring and I entered by the 'normal' side. But now I only enter by the exit lol, even for the Quina quest (pass by the witchwood and exit and re entry to trigger the quest). It's so quick! I never gonna do all the road again to go in the Witchwood or exploring that side of the map.. I don't know for the other class, but with my sorcerer, with the flying thing, it's pretty easy to reach the spot to climb.

The MK skill Sky Rapture works, too. My trick as Warrior is to put a portcrystal on the ledge by the “exit”, after getting there normally. Most of what you need to do later in game is nearer to the exit. Especially if you want to keep a King Bay leaf stock for Selene brews.

I found out recently than u can use explosive river as waypoint trap. When enemy step on it , it s gonna blow in decent aoe. So it s super cool u can create minefield with it and dispatch of weaker enemies.

Maybe it’s just my Dark Souls showing, but I still say that with Ripostes the Mystic Knight is crazy as heck broken, was a little weirded out when I looked around and saw everyone trashing it, so I’m intrigued to hear you also say it’s OP too. I might give magic archer a shot now, just to see how it feels, now that I’m no longer avoiding it out of stubborn loyalty to Mystic Knight. XD

Oh yeah, MK is the shield focused class, people want to play it like its a Fighter but the thing is its not a fighter, you need to be good at managing perfect blocks as an MK because they can perfect block almost any attack, its other offensive utilities are more for crowd control to get enemies into position for your riposte.
