When i play pad on certain games, i play claw. I rest the pad on my leg like an arcade stick and use my Index and middle finger click my attack buttons. That way you can not only click buttons faster, but you can easily click two buttons at the same time. I mainly played this way for Tekken, KOF, and Marvel vs Capcom. But for games that use the trigger buttons a lot like mkx, i hold the pad traditionally.

Yirgacheffe (Yerga Chefe/Yirgachefe)... that's actually the name of the town/region of southern Ethiopia where the original Arabica coffee bean hails from. So this is like the Original Coffee.
@Sativa9896 жыл бұрын
The only thing that kills me with the stick is the movement pad is so much more instant for dashes forward and back .I mean I do have a stick but it's in retirement, I've come to the conclusion that I enjoy if done properly with a light quick reacting hand/ thumb on input when sliding your thumb on pad more "Non mashing " very satisfying. And of course better on it, forcing myself to stick is literally throwing away all my muscle memory to start from scratch.
@ChimericGaming6 жыл бұрын
I'm SO Glad I'm not the only person who has trouble on pad. I wanted to swap to fightsticks because the pressure on my hands makes them cramp like almost arthritis inducing.
@pite96 жыл бұрын
I play with a pad, but I hold the right hand like you would for the buttons on an arcade stick, and I use two fingers. The only negative is that you sacrifice the shoulder buttons on the right hand, but I only play Tekken, which is a 4 button game, so I don't need the shoulder buttons. All the pad player Tekken pros play like this. I learned this style when I was a kid, because I was struggling to do the directional 2 button combinations, like for example square + circle.

I gotta say average level in japan and north america are pretty similar in niche market games, based on my netplay experience. Granted I mostly play japanese random players in arcana heart, where it seems so niche that most regular NA players are probably just crazy. So I would say the best overall players I played regularily are NA, though maybe lag has a factor in that, or they didnt play me enough to figure me out. The main difference is that if i play randoms during japanese hours, they actually have players so skill/play style is more varied, which makes it a better experience when it doesn't lag too much. seems like japan just actually has players since I talked to japanese friends who say they go to locals, and showed me replays from arcade tournies and casuals they entered. which are non existent here for a lot of games. I'll probably play some random japanese million arthur players soon and see how that goes, when i learn that game. It seems net code's pretty good so it shouldnt even lag much most of the time

I understand the problem with pressinf 2 buttons with a pad either i did a 1 then to 2 or vice versa. What i did was changing the way i hold my right hand. Instead of using my thumb for doing the moves i used it to hold the pad. So i used my index and middle finger to execute moves. And i would us my ring and pinkie finger to use the triggers. So basicially i would play on a pad like i would play on stick. If someone would love to try be my guest.

When I was a kid, I played so much KOF 95 that part of the skin in my hand just fell. Everytime I played I went home bleeding. The doc said that if I played 1 or 2 times I would reach the muscle and tendons. I have always been super resistant to pain, so I didn't feel anything.
