It has just been announced for U.S and Europe! W/o expansion it's 39.39 and with it's around 60-70! It will be fully dropped on may 15th, but the demo is out right now with Common world domination and Romeo and Cinderella!

I'd be all over this Diva game if I had not already poured dozen of hours into Future Tone. I get the portability aspect a little bit but I can only see this as a watered down port of FT, theres really nothing that I've seen that makes this PD stand out other than the shading and it being on the Switch (I know about the T-shirt customization). Tbh I would have rathered they'd had made another Mirai styled game instead of trying to be another FT. The controller though is pretty cool, I would love to get it.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure one of the main reasons they brought the PD series over to the switch is because Sega and Sony had a 10 year contract that finally expired and they left as soon as possible. But I agree, if you’re completely dedicated to FT, then I wouldn’t suggest playing MegaMix. Especially considering that all of the new songs are DLC for FT. But I feel like moving the series to the Switch, is going to open up not only the Project Diva series, but Hatsune Miku and Vocaloid as a whole to a brand new audience. Which in itself can be amazing. It’s not even out in the West yet and I’ve already heard people asking what this is. We’re gonna get a whole new wave of Diva fans like nothing we’ve ever seen before. And as veteran fans, we gotta welcome them in with open arms

The fact that the switch buttons are so tiny makes the game way more enjoyable for me since in the ps4 it was harder to hold all the buttons at once and now I can just use my thumb.

Changing the button icons isn't intuitive -- you'd think it'd be in the options, but nope, it's in the Customization section, where you'd change the appearance of the vocaloids. As soon as I switched to the PlayStation icons, it was like night and day (I'd keep on mixing up the X and Y buttons in the Switch layout, while muscle memory kicked in for the Square and Triangle buttons). It really is like a portable version of Future Tone, though the track list isn't exactly the same. I'm glad I preordered that LE from Amazon Japan -- so costly for shipping, but where else can you get a 48-hour shipping from across the world? And my friend is also a huge Miku fan, so we saved a bit each on shipping by ordering together.

you're not wrong, there're 2 ways to pronounce 3 and 9 in japanese

It being both pronounced as sankyu and miku is why 39 is associated so much with Miku since sankyu sounds kinda like Thank You and naturally it also being miku

In addition to what everyone's been saying, the other layer of the pun is if you pronounce it as "Mirai" (Mi - 3, Rai -9) which is "Future". Since "Hatsune" translates to "First sound", Miku's name can be read literally as "First sound of the future".

I actually like the more cell shading oriented art style better than the PS4 one! Frame rate is an issue, but at least this doesn't fall into the uncanny valley for me like Future Tone does

Personally, I love the cel-shaded look over the uncanny valley look of some of the models in Future Tone. The backgrounds and sets were gorgeous of course, but the actual character models were jarring at times. I'd really like for this to get a Western release, but I'll probably just import it anyway.

That's amazing. It's a shame we only got the game in the States and digitally at that. I did buy Project DIVA f on Playasia and it came with a scroll and some kind of Hatsune Miku rubber keychain but I gave those to a friend of mine who is a Vocaloid fan. I kept the game
