IMPORTANT So I did some troubleshooting after the video and realised that my triangle button not working was my fault (I didn't tighten the button properly). The d-pad having issues was because I was on the wrong mode (there are many modes on DIVALLER). As for buttons sticking, that's because gamo2 uses cheap Chinese buttons, it's very common to have sticking buttons on any arcade controller, to have proper not sticking buttons is buying sanwas, which would bump up the controller price by $100. That's all! I'm going to pin this because a lot of issues I pointed out in my video was my own inexperience and lack of testing with the controller.

Another $100 that's already like $500 which is a lot for a controller at least in my opion that's enough to buy a pc. I wish it wasn't so expensive and I might buy it

and also because, you dont use engine oil on plastic/electronics. The harsh chemicals can rust the springs, and internally damage the inside of the buttons and seep into the switches. I recommend for maintenance cleaning and use like WD-40® Specialist® Electronics with the extend straw cleaner that refresh and proper clean springs and electronics from gung, rust, and moist it and then dry off later before putting back together.

The limited collector's run Hori controller for switch is available again here and only here not even on Hori's sitewww.nin-nin-game.com/en/video-games/33569-hatsune-miku-project-diva-mega39-s-dedicated-controller-for-nintendo-switch-hori-.html *note they only work for the console you've brought them for switch; or PS4 for Ps4 but I've heard they do work on PC. So I guess to get them while they are still available if you wish? DO NOT buy this if you have a switch lite as you need the original switch with a dock! but for this, it seems this controller is a 100$ cheaper. Makes sense since it's not limited run /official and made to order.

Doesn't seem half bad for a controller for fans of the game. The metal body is nice! If space wasnt an issue, would rather just get the cab which are sitting round $1500.
@tokaku4 жыл бұрын
it saves A LOT of space, especially compared to the alternative! (arcade cabinet which is... the entire thing or controller section of the cabinet ripped out, which actually comes around at the price of the DIVALLER, but the issue is that it doesn't have as good integration with other consoles unlike DIVALLER even after some fiddling)

7:13 actually, that affects the D-Pad, not the regular buttons. All those can be pressed simultaneously or across (Triangle + Cross) without issue, but D-pads cannot do the same thing. Thing is you wouldn’t notice unless you have a controller like the DIVALLER or the Miku mini controllers, since they have separate buttons for the D-pad. Also if that was happening to you, you might have had the controller in DIVA F/X mode instead of DIVA FT mode.
@tokaku4 жыл бұрын
wait, this can be changed via changing modes??? I didn't know! god bless. thank you
@ahchurro1114 жыл бұрын
tokaku yep! On PS4, the controller has 2 modes. One for DIVA X and the other for Future Tone. In FT mode, the buttons only act as a single press of its button (circle is circle only), and X mode has that button press both itself and its corresponding D-pad button (circle would be circle & D-pad Right simultaneously). Hopefully this info helps out.
@treelight25784 жыл бұрын
From what I was looking up it sounds weird but the Project Diva arcade games. The software thinks the buttons are D-Pad buttons not a normal button if that is the case then holding down more then 3 would be like holding more then 3 on a keyboard without N-rollover on windows and that causes sticky keys to be enabled. Again I could be getting bad info and it doesn't make sense but yeah I don't know lol.

The Divaller is a much better controller now that they have recently switched to a single 200g spring for both the default DAO and Sanwa button options. According to the other reviews, the dual 100g + 60g springs were causing the buttons to occasionally stick. The Divaller plus Sanwa button option is really close to the actual arcade now. All that remains is adding dedicated controller support via a firmware update so that the touch slider more accurately mimics the arcade controller. If Gamo2 ever does that, then the Divaller will be an even better option than the official Hori version, which has that noticeable dead zone on the slider.
@angelbaxter79713 жыл бұрын
I've heard that the touch slider on the hori only works if you've got the dedicated controller patch for ft but its jp region exclusive, hence why im now looking more into getting the divaller instead of the hori🥲. Will it still work without the patch? At this rate though I'll be saving up extra to get the version with sanwa switches

If you got it in a brand new condition, a stucky button is usually caused by spikes or ledges on sides of the moving part of that button (it's not that easy to make a button perfectly round / square or in other given shapes) , which generate excessive friction. Shave it off with a sharp knife and it could last forever.

yes, other than double tapping it also sometimes drops inputs (note, the circle button on DIVALLER actually presses circle and right at the same time, same with the rest of the buttons. I have no idea why...)

I have the diva x controller (got it around 400$ new) and personally even though it doesn't have mechanical switches (from what I've heard) it works wonders on future tone. Though this controller is more arcade accurate and is made mostly from metal I wouldn't spend the 400$ on a 20 pound controller that I need to take apart to make the buttons not stick. I wouldnt want to risk breaking a controller that expensive. The diva x controller also let's you assign buttons so I could put the D pad side on the right of the controller and the face buttons on the left side. (The d pad cannot hold notes opposite of each other while the face buttons can all be held down without issue). You could also assign the buttons to be in the arcade layout (only issue being the thumbsticks are below the buttons and the touchpad kinda sucks for slide notes). The buttons can't be spammed easily but because it has two sides you can spam like on a ds4 controller (alternating between d pad and face buttons). For context I could beat two sided lovers on extreme and had 20 extreme perfects with the ds4 (hardest song being odds and ends). With the new controller I can beat some 9.5 star songs but mostly just 9 starred but I'm still getting used to the controller. The buttons aren't as loud as the ones in the video but the controller also doesn't have lights, a touchbar,headphone jack, and it can only really be purchased off of ebay from japan. Hope this helps.
@tokaku4 жыл бұрын
Hello! So turns out how it works in my video, I was using it in the wrong mode! So that's problem solved. As for sticking buttons, that's an issue because they use cheap chinese buttons. Arcade sanwa buttons bump the price up by $100, Arcade cabinet parts are NOT cheap. From my experience! Many controllers I dismantled and worked with are very very durable and simple electronically. Even if you break a part (most likely, a wire), they are very very cheap to replace. Buttons are impossible to break, switches might break but they can be fixed with alcohol solutions sometimes or just $2-5 for 1 omron (omron is what arcade cabinets use) switch! I imagine most of the cost goes to the construction of the case and touch panel. That's all!
