The best Starcraft players can achieve upwards of 500 effective APM during bursts and maintain a consistent 250 APM over the course of a 45 minute game. If they are ever forced to mash mindlessly though the best Starcraft players have achieved numbers as high as 2300 APM

@@Evan-mt7bc 250 APM is diamond league APM these days (even I average 290 with Zerg after crippling my hand), the faster GMs and pros average over 400-500+ and burst over 1k. Reynor is considered one of the fastest players if not the fastest in the world and he averages up to 700+ apm in some games with bursts over 2,000.

@@tambaz2276 I was mainly talking about effective APM which is everytime an action results in a productive action. So holding down Z on 10 eggs would only be 10 effective actions while most APM charts like to count that as like 800 APM.
