I don't get Kurosanji. Luna did audition to get accepted by Niji, so they 100% should had heard her voice before accepting her as Moruru. Why redicule her on her voice after accepting her. I'm glad she's doing way better now as Luna, getting all the way to 1mill subs under Hololive's banner instead.

... Wow... when I heard that Moruru jump shipped to Holo, I didn't know her experience in Niji was THAT bad. No one coming to her graduation call it was... pretty rough O.O ... Meanwhile, in Holo, the runt in their JP branch (Aki... and she admitted it before being THE one who had the lowest subcount at one point) still got the same support from the company AND her peers (the times where they just went out to drink and hang out and do dumb things) . Yea, Aki-nee got into a good company! Also, Phase is farming some Ws and good will with this move! O7 Glad to see Phase talents are supported by a good company

In the case of Aki, all it tooks is just a single clip of her situation and suddenly her subscriber count boosted because Kaigai Niki want to support the talents. You're never gonna see that miracle in Niji.

phase paying for artist alley, not just a good PR move. but i'm willing to bet all of those creators are gonna be looking to work with phase from here on out. they might be more inclined to make phase merch to sell for future cons too. it's an investment in artists for future gains. there's some risk to be sure there, could just be money wasted but with the current climate, i think it'll be money well spent.

I feel the Phase Connect concerns are more than unwarranted. Remember that the subreddit post is comparing a company like Phase to a company that practically doesn’t spend money for ANYTHING at all. Plus, it’s the opposite problem. Anycolor doesn’t spend money, and they give their talents a raw deal. Phase Connect spends money ONCE on what will surely be a good pr move and benefit themselves and others, and people are wary of them? It doesn’t make sense to be suspicious of The Fishman due to one positive outlier.

It makes a lot of sense for Phase Connect to spend a good chunck of their advertising budget on Offkai Expo, since Offkai is an event targeting Phase Connects core target audience so the impact per $ will be higher than with a traditional ad-campaign with a comparable price point

I think people are warry of Phase because of its reputation. People... You are missing out. These girls are the most entertaining livers out there. I don't think Sakana is a venture capitalist. He is much too prudent and dedicated to keeping Phase stable, productive and solvent. If he _is_ venture, then he's a damn unicorn in that field. Yea, the wave songs not sung by the respective waves is another gutterball. It dilutes what faint identity they have, and comes off as them leaning on their singing senpais for notability - two problems in tandem that feed off of each other. One thing is creating a competitive environment. But Nijisanji and other black companies twist that into a cauldron of infighting, vitriol and tribalism. Which conveniently makes the people working in the company less attentive to whatever the brass is doing upstairs, such as committing financial crimes and, well, we know the "favors" girls in Wactor were offered to compensate for their "failings". Among other things. It's a whole system of foulness that is only seeing serious pushback onto collapse because the international eyes, eyes that are not corpo-biased like the Japanese, are deadlocked on Nijisanji and their dirt pile doesn't stop growing bigger.

there's a lot of factors that we don't know that could play into why she's silent 1. She's an individual against a corpo. Japan tends to protect corporate over individuals any day. 2. She may not want to talk about it because it hurt so much or she's moved on. 3. She's an employee of Hololive which has a good relationship with Nijisanji. Any opinion she say could put tension in that relationship and hurt their connections. Aruran, Ao-kun, Miko, Roberu, and Altare all have good friends in Niji and that will be damaged if Luna suddenly speaks up. 4. She might have signed the silencing contract that they also gave Sayu. Really, having Luna say anything about it now is a lose-lose to everyone involved. Indies have the freedom to be vocal about it now but her being in another corpo, especially one with such a good relationship with Niji, makes things a lot more complicated.

People hate Filian because she made a bad taste joke about George Floyd like 2 years ago or so, the clip of it went viral and she was painted as a racist, so everyone who hates her parrots the same reason - "she's a racist." The reality is that Filian has always made jokes that skirt the line between edgy and politically correct. She herself even acknowledged on stream, immediately after making the joke, that she might've gone too far with it. Has she done anything since then that's gone viral? No. She learns from her mistakes, but once Twitter slaps a label on you, it'll always stick because these people are terminally online. It's similar to how people hate Mori Calliope, the only difference being that Calli's supporters typically drown out the antis, which isn't the case for Filian unfortunately. Personally, I think Quinn's bigger issues are the allegations that he helped dox Sayu before she graduated from Niji. If true, he was complicit with her bullying, so I'm very wary of Quinn now.

The filian thing was such a reach, she made a joke and that was it. The thing is the cancel pigs were trying to use the worshipping of floyd as their winning card but part of filians fanbase knew who he really was well, plus the at the time not idolizing him trend(separating the man from the issue), it backfired on them big time. Then they tried to say she was racist against mexicans but they didn't knew at the time a considerable amount of her fanbase was from latam and it backfired again and got called a lot of "pretty" words this time. Long story short they got clowned twice and it seems that they are still butthurt about it lmao.

I understand Sakana's superchats look fishy (hehe) to outsiders, but the cut would be split between YT, the company, and the vtuber for any superchat, so it's not like it's not fair, then Sakana does this for most events (the few I've watched have all featured his congratulatory superchat, often a "fail" during donothons cause usually only streamlabs donations count lol), and while this is an assumption on my part, I think he spends his own money, no the company assets. Sure, some of it will ultimatley go back to him cause he owns the company, but whatever. I don't think this is worse than Yagoo tweeting a cookie cutter "congratulations" at any of Holo vtubers. It's just nice. The talents literally shout at Sakana live whenever he makes the slightest misstep, so I don't really think they feel like they're held hostage.

@@natu101yay Just for the sake of the argument - if you'd take the position of a cynic, it's a private company and they can say whatever publically and privately do something entirely different. They are really only beholden to the contracts they make and their *private* investors. I personally don't think they'd be lying about this, there's definitely nothing in their past to warrant any doubt, BUT this is a possibility that can never be fully disregarded. Companies do company stuff.

I usually don't bother with this kind of stories, but for once, I watched it and checked the sources of the Mario Kart story. And as expected, it turned out to be a waste of time. They have quite the imagination for drama though, I give them that. I'm not trying to defend Niji btw but you ppl are really losing the plot here, instead of exposing nijis bad practices, it has become a playground for drama farmers, lying and gaslighting ppl for attention by making up mostly complete fiction at this point. It's also all too easy for them due to the language barrier to claim anything and make stuff up on the fly. Might as well talk about flat earth at this level.
