I cant believe that no one realized this. When Cocolia impaled us with the lance it actually made us establish a connection with Qlipoth the Preservation. So when we pulled the lance with Qlipoth's and The Guardian Will's permissions, we basically pulled the lance out of our own chest. Mc is cool af.

tbf without actually seeing that we can't say that for sure. For all we know, the lancer reformed itself in MC's hand much like how it appeared in Cocolia's, just with reddish flames rather than bluish ice once MC established the connection.

the fact that cocolia protects you at the end is so nice... At the end of the day, when the stellaron decides to explode, she becomes herself again... And protects the world by shielding herself inside a bubble and basically imploding. This was an epic finale, ngl. A lot of people didn't noticed that.

It's interesting to note that Cocolia had never tried to indoctrinate or even brainwash Bronya the entire time she had studied under her and been cared for. It's subtle, but it's hinted that Cocolia was still rebelling against the will of the Stellaron, but because of being manipulated by it her entire life, she has had no control over her actions. However, her mind still contained some sort of state of mind, despite having gone insane over the revelations and the years of poisoning her mind. As shown here in-game, Cocolia gave Bronya one more chance to rethink her choice - something that, in my opinion as an aspiring writer, a villain that's practically a puppet being controlled by higher beings should never had done...unless she herself was aware. I draw similarities to the Zerg Overlord in the Starcraft series: -he was made by Amon to rule over the Zerg, but never had a free will to do what he wanted for the Zerg species - or in his view, his children. He was well-aware of his actions and was tormented by the fact. -he saw the future where, after assimilating everything, gets assimilated by the hybrids serving Amon. He counters this by creating The Queen of Blades/Sarah Kerrigan - a human-zerg hybrid not under Amon's control - under the guise of serving Amon and the purpose of assimilating. He circumvents the will of Amon in order to create a timeline where Sarah, merely feeling the presence of Amon but not directly under control, can lead the Zerg from their fatal fate and continue to evolve. I believe this is what's happening here - Cocolia, rather than forcefully subdue Bronya into her will, instead shows her what she saw. Normally, a villain here would rather do what I just said previously, but Cocolia went for a more reasonable approach: to show her the bleak future that would most likely happen to Bolobog and the rest of the planet. Why do that? Because she wants her daughter to decide. Not choose between "side with me or die", but to decide. "I want to witness your decision." Cocolia actually let her have free will to *decide* what she wants to do. Unfortunately, being tortured by the Stellaron has derailed her reasonable state of mind, but she still had enough fight in her to rebel in her own way by giving her daughter a chance to fight back. Maybe that's why she thanks the travellers for being there - because she finally got people to go against the "her" that has long since been lost in her danaged mental state. Maybe that's why she smiled when Bronya defied her and stood her ground, because she got to see her daughter grow up as her own person. You could even say that *she made her choice, and fought against her fate.* And she did, protecting the world from having the Stellaron consume the planet. She died a free woman.

Stellarons are Xel'naga artifacts confirmed? I never saw Cocolia as a "puppet" per say, at least not the way you see it. I was under the impression that she always had her free will, the Stelleron simply preyed upon her compassionate nature and dwindling faith in Preservation to mold her mind in a more radical direction over the course of several decades. She still shows genuine compassion towards Bronya, freaking out when she disappears, and giving her the choice whether to stand with her, or against her, desperately hoping she'd see things her way, but regretfully acknowledges her choice when she rejects her. She's acting based on what she genuinely believes is right, based on what the Stellaron fed to her, and it's only when it feels threatened when the Stellaron takes a more proactive role. Her last moments occur after Qliopth blessed her daughter and her companions, showing her that Humanity still has the strength to Persevere, and accepting that their desires to survive surpasses the Stellaron and the new world it has promised.
