I spent a few days watching Gundou-sensei's Genshin archive and it's very entertaining! One of the things that I find NO ONE ELSE does, not even English streamers, is how she really likes Paimon! She praises Paimon's witty remarks and goes like "ohhh you say the right things emergency food!" etc. While most people find Paimon annoying or at least resent how Paimon put words in Traveler's mouths.

Honkai is too much like a VN imo It's really hard to actually read through the walls of poorly translated anime conversations with no actual payoff aside from slide shows until like the 7th chapter. If by some miracle a person makes it to that point without dropping the game though, then it is pretty good. I just wish the whole game's plot was consistently delivered at that quality.

Just because theyre dead doesnt mean can never be playable. The story progression is only paimon and the traveler. The playable party is purely for gameplay unless its character quests. Honkai has several playables that are dead in the story too.

On the part where all the visions light up, I have a theory that it happened not because those specific visions belong to those specific soldiers, but because of the ambition of those soldiers to defeat Raiden Shogun. This is backed up by Kazuha's friend's vision lighting up, even with it's master diseased. It lit up because of it's master's last wish to deflect the musou no hitotachi. The friend wasn't strong enough, and died, but his last wish was engraved into the vision. Kazuha wanted to protect the Traveler, and so would need to deflect the musou no hitotachi. His ambition was strong enough to do so, which activated the masterless vision one last time. The same can be said for those soldiers who charged at Raiden Shogun; they also probably want vengeance, and some of that desire stayed with the visions, from their former masters, which activated when the soldiers displayed strong ambition to enact vengeance on Raiden Shogun, on behalf of those who lost their visions from the Vision Hunt Decree.
