For those of you saying the Speakmans were too harsh...it worked, he's cured! I doubt if he wishes they'd been softer on him. Would you say a surgeon is too harsh if his patient feels pain following surgery? Sometimes pain is necessary for a cure. Grow up, snowflakes!

I don’t really agree with all the shaming that’s being down towards him 😢 as a psychotherapist that was uncomfortable to watch. There are ways of allowing clients to see their idiosyncratic beliefs and thoughts without causing them guilt and shame.

I agree it is extremely condescending. I sadly am getting very annoyed with the speakmans because of this. This man isn't a idiot and yes his fear is irrational but paradoxically this fear is rational in a way he has had a trauma and its only natural to fear it.
