I waited and just got the black pair off stockx for $180 total. glad I waited. Love the fact that these don't get the "love" by hypebeasts and resellers, so that we can actually get a good quality pair of sneakers that we love as a kid.

I basically played only in Air Jordan sneakers from 1988 to 1998 back in the day, but I made an exception for the Air Penny 2's! Had the black “road” colorway in 96. Wore them indoors, outdoors on the blacktop, everywhere! Loved em, great sneakers 🔥

Saw the black pair dropped today on snkrs and was sitting, took a 20 min drive over to kith in waikiki (live on oahu) and was able to pick up a pair in my size. Super dope imo, they remind me of the uptempo 97 pack that dropped in the black and the olive drab colorways back around 2016-17. Quality is really nice

I just got these for 15% off on NDC. They restocked on both colors last week. My white/blue/gray color came in and I’m going to buy the black pair. Also, the carbon fiber on mine are lined up correctly vs the pair you’re showing, so hoping it’s a small defect vs on most pairs.

Kobe's Nike Mamba logo is the dopest because it's actually symmetrical which is more visually appealing and it looks like something you would put on something dangerous as a warning sign not to fuck with it, in this case the shoes worn by one of the most vicious shooting guards of all time.

The black pair was supposed to drop on September 30th, but it got pushed back to I believe October 13th. I am definitely leaning toward trying to get a pair. Same thing happened to my 2s. They blew out at work and the air unit came out with the foam completely crumbling. I always found it a little harder to get a lock down with these vs the 1s speed lacing system. If I could get 2 styling and fit with 1 lacing, shoe perfection.

@sdjordje2007 that's a hard question. Yes, they are, but, remember these were top tech when they released. Modern shoes are much lighter and will feel faster. It depends on the cushioning setup u prefer. I personally found they slide a bit on dusty courts. I also found it hard to get them as locked down as I like with the lacing.

Penny 2 SS are way better than the Penny 1’s, just in concept alone. I’d much rather have a higher quality OG than have all the gimmicks and Velcro swooshes that came with the P1. Just got my SS P2 black pair from Nike and while the quality is amazing, the craftsmanship/QA could use some work. Had to wash off some stains on the midsole overlay and remove some glue stains. That said, the materials are nice. Still pairs available on the SNKRS app in both color ways. Definitely worth the pick up since OGs haven’t been announced yet, just for the materials alone.
