Well done...Went thru a pair of air zoom zero playing on clay and just bought a cage 4. I like the level of cushioning and so far the cage 4 feels better than the zoom zero. Unfortunately K-Swiss are not sold here in Brazil.

@@FootDoctorZach to be honest I had another pair for over a year now, and they where great. The only issue was that the pair that I had was all court, and I play on artificial turf. That builds up sand when it’s wet so this time I went for the clay version. I have a pair of FF2 clay version and they do the trick. Anyway, keep up the good work 👌🏻

I like the GP turbos much more than the cages- GP turbo one of my favorite shoes- VC4 I’m not as high up on- i have a head to head with the GP turbo too that you should check out - got a much higher rating

Zach what shoes (even other non Nike brands). other than the yet to be released upcoming pro model would you say are the most comparable to the vapor X? I’ve tried the cage it doesn’t do the job it’s too big and clunky feeling and weight was too heavy. I like the lace protection with these I wish that would be adopted by more as I burn through laces.

I can’t wear the GPs cause their too narrow. I had never had a problem with Nike sizing till the zeros. The best Nike in recent years and best shoe period imo (sans durability) was the vapor tour 9.5. What’s going on with Nike going narrow with their shoes?

Funny, I have the widest feet on earth and own and love the GPs I own for accommodating that. The NXTs on the other had were horrible when I tried them on.

Hey doc, i need help choosing some tennis shoes. I'm a aggresive/attacking player meaning i'm mainly looking for light, stable shoes since i'm a very fast player i want something that doesnt weight me down. My footwork is great but i often lag since i'm wearing heavy shoes. I need something that Will allow me to swiftly move side to side and Boost me to get up to the net or defend while already at it, i also slide alot like alot alot. My feet are a little wider than usual but not too much, My foot arch is average. I'm 16 and not Even a month old i'm 179 cm tall and 64 kg more or less in weight. I play everyday atleast for 2 hours but sometimes like 3 times a week i Even push 5, i also live in a country where if i want something i have to order it from outside My continent so i kinda need something durable ish but i'm 100000% willing to give up durability for performance.. What shoe would you recommend? Btw great content really helping My shoe hunt. Lemme know if you need any more info.

Zach, I have been playing in the Nike Vapor Cage 4 and the ASICS court ff for the past few months and find that both shoes cause pain in the outer part of my foot arch. I have flatter feet but haven’t had issues with other nikes in the past. Is there any quick remedy for this discomfort? Do I just have to get a wider size or different shoe? Thanks!

Yeah it looks like your foot doesn’t like the Shape of those lasts- you can either stuff some tennis balls in them to stretch them out or buy a shoe stretcher or I’d go with something wider like the diadora blushields
