I don't know if anybody else noticed it, but the video quality is top notch in the recent videos! Whatever is the video/ligthing/backgroud set up for Tom, and Nick, keep it up guys! BTW the review / comparison was top notch as ever :)

Great review. I’m done with the Invincible. The novelty of the ZoomX wears off and the fit just doesn’t work for me. Too narrow in the forefoot leading to hotspots and blisters. The wobbliness just seals the deal. Anxiously awaiting the Triumph 20 to drop in the US. Loving what Saucony is doing these days.

well said...after the "fun factor" is over after 50 miles or so the shoe kind of sucks to be honest.

Thanks for all your triumph 20 videos seems you’re ahead of the game with this one! With over 300 miles in my triumph 19’s been eagerly awaiting the release of the 20 and after your initial review ordered a pair from start fitness and with discount code got them for a much more palatable £130 and they arrive any day now. Looking forward to training these last 7 weeks in them and then taking them to Chicago for the marathon in October. Thanks for your great reviews guys 👍

The instability of the Invincible (version 1) took some getting used to, but it's the only shoe that I have, that I can run in when my knee injury flares up. So if I could only have one shoe, it would absolutely be the Invincible.

The Nimbus 24 is also worth a look. Great impact protection, more versatile and stable, plus more durable.

Try the new balance rebel v3. It had been the only shoe that didnt cause my patellar tendon to flare up afterwards. I wanted something for long easy runs and decided to try the Invincible 2. But within the first two runs, they caused me to have various and newly encounterd pain issues around my ankles. Luckly the Rebel V3 added a little more stack over the V2 and its been doing well.

@@eblackce I don't use the invincible at the moment. After falling when I wasn't paying enough attention (you can't just zone out), I lost the confidence to run in them. I've switched to the novablast 2, which work almost as good for me. I'll put the rebel v3 on my list of shoes to try, thanks for the suggestion!

I dont consider the invincible as for running but for day to day walking shoe. It would have been better if they put carbon plate in the midsole to give stability.

I picked up a pair of Triumph for 1/2 the price of the Invicibles. However after my first run in them they felt to me like Saucony was scrimping on material to manufacture these shoes the ride was not soft like the invincible a little more firm under foot but sadly I knew they were not for me after a couple of runs. The invincible is a great ride for traing the material and workmanship is quality plust. These are my thoughts.

Invincible a weird shoe for me. Feels like running in sand on slow miles. The bounce on fast miles knocks me all over the place. I’ve relegated it to a walking shoe….

Totally agree with this comment. The more I watch these reviews I realise that it is so person dependent, so generally I now discount this channel for shoe reviews I want to run in.

Not just a matter of learning to use the Invincibles as a tool? I've learned some shoes do require some conscious effort to adapt before I feel their benefit. Adios 6 was one. This is one for all of the commenters in this thread.

@@lifephorce I'm 10 years behind you on the years of mileage so maybe that's part of it. I just bought the AAAP2 but haven't tried them yet...the 3 just went on sale here so trying to figure out if I should exchange/upgrade. Not clear if the 3 is actually an improvement, but helpful knowing someone enjoys the 2! Cheers.

I get what you mean. I also had some great super hyped running shoes which I've never used them for running because they sucked at that but they were great for walking around all day long. If the Invincible is that kind of shoe I won't mind

The triumphs seem criminally underrated. Straight line mostly I will reach for the invincibles but any kind of hills or turns, or god forbid turns on a hill, I am going with the triumphs every single time. The energy return is close, you just don't get the compression as with zoomx. Way more stable ride. On foot the Invincibles do feel lighter to me though.

Amazing review. Thank you. I’ve found most bounce to come from the triumph sock liner which is about 10 mm in thickness. I wear custom orthotics/insole and changing out the sock liner literally put my feet on the ground. The forefoot stack went from 27 to under 20! So the cushion and bounce disappeared in short of 3 miles… made for a painful 16 miler. Either way I’m with Nick on Invincible 😊

V4 kills your knees, hips and motivation. After 2 runs i am happy i didn't continue otherwise i guess i could be handicapped for life. Your whole body tries to adapt to this stupid max cushioning but can't make it totally. After 5k i was totally exhausted. I never recommend v4 bro.

Invincible kills my knees and ankles and for some reason aggravates my hamstring injury. I want to love the shoe but I noticed it's terrible when I wear it for normal walking and also if I try to do too many miles on consecutive days I'm in pain. Haven't tried the Saucony so I wouldn't know about that one yet

The same does my fresh foam more x v4. After 2 runs wants to throw to garbage 🗑️. Your foot tries to adjust to this unnatural stupid cushioning but can't make it totally. Never max cushioning shoes any more.

I don't know what softer means in the context used in this video. The Triumph 19 was a very firm shoe, so saying the new one is softer really isn't saying much. Also, the Invincible is widely considered to be the softest shoe on the market, so, again, saying the Triumph is not as soft isn't telling me anything. I didn't learn anything from this video that would help inform a purchase decision. I thought the comparison was a strange one, TBH.

I believe I learned something because I didn't know the Triumph was not softer than the Invincible until someone compared them directly.

@@darrell9616 I own Invincibles and I think they are my favorite shoes, though in the bigger picture I haven't had them for that long. And because I like them I've been watching many reviews to see how opinions stack up against my own. I saw a review that said the New Balance Supercomp Trainer was softer under foot than the Invincible. That was incorrect. However, going by your logic when a shoe comes out that is softer than the Invincible you won't believe it.
@darrell9616
@darrell9616 2 жыл бұрын
@@jprelock No, just skeptical. Not only that, I personally wouldn't want a shoe any softer than the Invincible. Just as soft but more durable would be my ask. I will say, though, that I'm finding most professional reviews to be almost worthless because their experiences rarely match my own. The only purpose they serve for me right now is to let me know that new shoes have been released.
