all solid points. the quality of the leather has been an issue for years. they have been lazy, in marketing overall for a minute now, as well. great post, keep up the great work.

The quality is horrendous bruh, and the older people get, the more they choose “luxury” over comfort. Luxury ain’t even the word of Nike regardless. I work at a mom/pop shoe store and hearing from my managers how they pulled all inventory from these shops, definitely adds to how Nike lost their vision. Customers that walk in literally switch brands on the spot, throwing out their Nikes for a NB, Brooks, Hoka, etc. A company’s greed will always be their eventual downfall.

Also to add on to what you said about price and quality, the reps have just caught up to the real shit. No lie, I bought a $150 pair of shoes and my homie got a rep pair from DH that I couldn’t even tell the difference between the two without knowing which beforehand. It’s just getting hard to justify buying “authentic” at this point.

New Balance and aftermarket is really killing their sales + unless athletics falls in line with your profession, you’re not going to be in a rush to buy some sports shoes. Let alone with the fact that shoe prices just keep going up, designs aren’t changing or getting better, they wanna get political (like that controversy where they put the trans model on a cis woman’s campaign)… they honestly do it to themselves 🤷🏾‍♂️they engineer shoes to fuck your foot up anyways so I guess it’s for the better good. I’m not phased by it. Only Nike product I genuinely like are the Jordan 8s (which I barely fw cuz MJ funded the prison system)
