Review is spot on. I’ve spoken to a few friends that have this shoe. And they all say it’s heavier, scrap zoomx isn’t a great foam especially compared to regular zoomx, and it’s really hard to figure out where to put this shoe in the rotation especially at this price point even at $150. It doesn’t do great on long runs. It’s not an uptempo shoe. It’s pretty boring and makes you do all the work. Like you said is NOT an upgraded Pegasus 39. What I don’t get is that Nike knew the reaction runners would have with this shoe because so many people loved the Peg Turbo. Nike has confusing strategy that’s not customer focused. Other than racing, I can find better shoes for different use cases in my rotation. Pegasus 39 and Invincible are solid shoes though.

This iteration of pegs turbo nature is not much for running but lifestyle wear.

Do you think it feels less propulsive because we have been so used to recent newer shoes on the market? Or a brand new unused pair of Peg Turbo 1 or 2 actually would still feel more propulsive than this Peg Turbo Nature?

I think it’s a little bit of both. We’ve been so used to ZoomX being top of the line and it being fast and now they throw in scraps and it’s just not the same and runners do take notice. They’re using the name ZoomX now in every shoe which i feel is just a marketing tool to sell shoes. The Pegasus turbo 2 does feel lighter and more responsive than this as the combo of the react and ZoomX is different but trying to get a pair of those new now costs an arm and leg on resale websites

Thanks for the review. I really think Nike needs to rename this shoe, as it's nothing like the previous Turbo models. Because of these reviews hopefully not too many will be tricked into buying them, expecting the Turbo of old.

What's with this grey colorway? Not bad at all. I was looking in to future colors beside the two launch colorways, but had not found anything. Looking forward to more bold colorways like the zebra/blue/infrared/barely volt!

Yeah I figure it’s their standard black and white color way they have for everything. Not a big fan but they have something like this for all of their shoes. Hopefully they’ll make more colors if the shoe sells.

@@RunWithJ Oh I think you misunderstand. I thought the model shown in your thumbnail and some of the video was a grey and white colorway, distinct from the black and white one you had in hand and did the test run with. I've seen the black and white, but thought the grey was a third colorway I hadn't yet seen. Maybe it's just a filter or something which, made the black and white look grey. The best colorway (which, I already own) is the black/white/blue/infrared/barely volt. It really is stunning. From a lifestyle/fashion perspective it is a response to Adidas UltraBOOST and Yeezy 350 V2 Zebra, just a few years too late.

Oh yeah it’s black and white and must be the filter. Yeah Nike is a little late on that. They’ve been all over the place with their releases.

This shoe is more lifestyle than performance. It has more in common with the Space Hippie 01 than the previous Pegasus Turbo.

Yes. They try to use the Pegasus turbo name thinking people will buy it just because. Anything using recycled materials won’t be as effective unfortunately in performance currently.
