Man I had a pair of the Tiffany dunks in 2007. My friend bought them randomly, didn’t like how they went with his outfits, so sold them to me for like £15. Neither of us knew they’d be worth £300 a few years later. I skated the crap out of them. No one knew you could sell them for so much haha. First skate shoe that was thickish, yet had boardfeel and flexibility with a lot of grip

I remember it was a really cool move back in 2004-2005 when you could only get Nike SBs in certain skate stores. One skate store per town was allowed the shoes at one point. It was a good idea because the skate stores actually got behind it and liked the shoes. I’m sure some at first were like “errr ok,” but they definitely were ahead of the curve on that one. Also some skaters were totally cool with it (I wasn’t at the time but like them now lol) as those other skaters grew up wearing Nike football shoes (I’m British where everyone loves football) so the transition wasn’t weird for them. The only down side was, by 2008 when I started liking the shoes a lot, they were difficult to find haha. Would have to drive quite far to get them or order online

Those were some good years for sneakers so many memories I had a friend that was working at active he didn't love SB's like me he was just buying them after seeing the hype around them and once he was over them he literally held them for me this dude let me pay him $100 a week for each dunk ALL PINK BOXES.....& I still remember the days when I didn't know about Nike sb dunks my sister and I was in LA shopping at some random skate shop & no lie this hurts me each time I think about this moment they put out a row of stussy dunks more then 10 pairs lined up back to back and my dumb ass told my sister Deanna hey do you like these with the cherry's on the tongue she was like NO I don't like the brown on them and I just walked away clueless 😫

first pair of SBs was hemp from local skate shop, really wish I got the Heinekenand Manchester United as well. hemp lasted for years until they totally fell apart. now whenever I cop new shoes I always get 2 pairs. one to wear and one to collect. been wearing SB dunks exclusively (aside from hiking shoes/boots) for the last 15 or 16yrs

I used to have SB Dunks in some crazy color way- you know multicolor laces and so on :) Both my Etnies and Dunks had some brown parts and were unusual, but best shoes I remember from my youth were Adidas Superstars with black upper. Super durable and everyone wanted them in early 2000s.

It is understandable why people don’t like Nike. It was a big brand in the 1980’s, and still is. For some people what turns them off from Nike shoes is the big Logo on each shoe. For some people, they love the logo, and don’t mind it much as they like louder shoes. And that’s okay, just as it is to dislike it.

I'm a sb dunk and sb collector. I just acquired two huge sb models of all time.... One lost in nostalgia the other a shadow of the shoe where it derives it's name... First,a sb dunk designed more for a children's daycare than on the feet of skaters. The Nike sb dunk cassette playa... A mix of dark and milk chocolate browns , green, orange, and blue and constructed from lightweight nylon it's one of nikes odd ball designs . With two aztec style characters donning on the tongue patch where the iconic nike sb logo and a clear plastic yellowish swoosh stitched on the sides would be make this shoe somewhat hard to digest... Could be the reason this shoe is rare as well.... Super light and really one of nikes best skateboard shoes .. The other is the half sibling of one of nikes most sought after and iconic shoes.... The Introducing the Nike sb dunk hi cmft "Red Octobers" . Colored and based off the famous yeezy/nike shoe that yeezy himself designed for Nike, These gems closely resemble it older sibling without looking like absolute copies. Love both pair of these and use both in my daily skateboarding routine
