This segment has incredible potential with the chemistry that Kelly and Steezus have. It works really well when Kelly tees up Steezus with some questions because Im pretty sure Steezus can talk about shoes for days (and not exclusively just skate shoes either). Would love to see Kelly skate some flatground in these shoes to round out the review, but idk if that would be against his contract with eS or anything like that

Personally I like the Nyjah Free 2 the most, I have 6 pairs of them, 4 of my pairs are the spiridon colorway cause it's the best IMO. I use them to workout, I have a busted pair to do yard work in and a pair for work. I'm truly intrigued by this new shoe. I'm just waiting for more colorways to snag a pair.

That’s a great question. I guess I haven’t ever really explored that as an option/never had the opportunity presented to me. It’s an avenue that I wouldn’t mind exploring. It would just have to be the right situation and/or with the right brand. I have tremendous respect for footwear designers as well, so it’s not something I think can be taken lightly.

Shout-out Kelly for not being a hater on other shoe brands because given his position, he could be, but instead he appreciates skate shoes for what they are. Steezus is super knowledgeable, he could see all the inspiration that went into these. I thought it was funny from that interview, Nyjah didn't even realize all of his shoes have been vegan when Steve-o mentioned it...he was like "huh? Hmmm 🤔" I always thought it was on purpose, given that Nyjah was raised vegan and is a conscious dude when it comes to stuff like that. They look good, I want to try them. Great overview guys.

Good shit Steezus! I bought the first Nyjah's and only walked in them for a week to break them in. After one week, I had a huge crack on the front and was bummed. I love the look of the Nyjah 3's but I'm worried about the same problem as the one's. I wish you guys would skate them and test them out.

Its cool and kinda weird that these nyjah shoes, which have rubber toe boxes, have such good grip when sliding against the griptape. And the boardfeel is surprisingly on point straight out the box. Ive only skated the free 2's of the 3 nyjah shoes. And they were so damn uncomfortable to walk around in them as chill shoes, which was my original intent for the shoes; didnt plan on skating them. They just wouldnt break in and they pinched my feet and felt so stiff. So i stopped wearing them after a while. Then months later when i needed new skate shoes, i decided to try and skate my free 2's. I expected the boardfeel to suck, the break in time to be super long, and for the rubber ollie area to be subpar compared to suede in terms of getting that good flick. Man was i wrong. They suck as chill shoes but are ideal for skating. No break in time, boardfeel on point, ollie/flick area of the toe box grippy as hell and great feel against the griptape. And the best part is the shoes last longer than most. Like id go back to suede skate shoes if nyjahs's shoes didnt last as long as they do when skating them.

it doesn't look like they have any grip at all. I'm surprised nobody gives emerica more credit. i have a bunch of shoes but they are the only ones with very noticeably grippy soles - you can actually hear/feel it on certain carpets and floors, and they feel great on griptape. if you move your feet around on short carpet, they will grab some of the carpet fibers, you can hear it... they don't look like anything fancy, but the pattern works. for those who know...

A skateboard shoe company who's never made ball shoes won't do that it's the main reason Nike SB is the only one, cuz they have ALL the good silhouettes that are skateable

I ain't even gonna front. I want to try this shoe. If I copped a pair I would immediately paint them black with my special winter time concoction. Wanna hear it here it goes. First wipe it down the shoe with a very small amount of acetone on a cloth. Let fully dry. Next you use rusto dark grey sandable primer. You can skip this but I feel like it makes most shoes look slicker until the obviously get a scratched up and beautiful. Lastly you use a single coat of As Seen on TV spray rubber sealant. Woooooh boy I'm getting excited. AF. Mouth Juicy AF yo. I respect your opinion Stezus even though I'm probably shadow banned and you can't see this. I'm for t funk this year. Tho I respect the f out of Nigel's output always. He's a beast. No one else can skate rails like him. Anyway I hope everyone who sees this or not has a wonderful beautiful holiday season and a very happy new year. Especially the Pals -unk

I find it interesting that they have so many negative things to say about he 1s. That was my favourite shoe I've ever owned in my life. I wore it all day, for everything... Granted, I have a narrow foot. The 2s kept flying off my feet every time I bailed, which I've never really had happen for a shoe before. I sold them to a buddy. But the 1s... I miss those.

Great fucking review, I do hate how skinny they are so the threes sound like a big improvement for me. I got a wide foot so I love skating in them but walking around as an every day shoe is a no. 2.0 is still really hot so I hope those air holes are better.

The bad thing for me is right before the Travis Scott’s dropped and shit went haywire, I was gonna buy like 4 different pairs off Flight Club cuz they were pretty much retail.. The Pigeon Panda’s, both the white and black Diamond Dunks (not the Tiffany’s), and the Marty McFly’s.. Ended up building a PC instead cuz I wanted it more, damn near overnight Dunk’s went crazy, and now none of them sell for less than $400.. I think $200 was the most any of those cost before lol

I hope NIKE starts making shoes a little wider at the top or at least round it out a bit more where your toes are at there's a reason why Nyjah microwaves his shoes that plastic will stretch, I'm just not loving narrow pointy shoes they weaken your ankle which will lead to a higher probability of rolling your ankle
