Gotta be careful when dumping water on your head. I did that in a 5 mile race last September, and it caused my racing singlet to get soaked and then get stuck to my left nipple. 😮 I didn’t notice till after the race ended when I discovered I was sore and bleeding.

Totally agree with you it feels firmer than v1! Good to hear it holds up well, I’m considering to use mine for my next marathon instead of the Alphafly v1 (whereas the v1 lacked the heel stability for the last miles for me…). They feel so light and responsive 😊

Hi Andrea! I think I have a similar issue where I land laterally and have a hard time loading my 1MTP; I seem to wear out my shoes right in the center of the outsole and even my socks get holes right under my middle MTP. Could you possibly make a video or provide some resources to correct this issue? Thanks.

I had vaporfly v2 i thonk it was. But i found the midsole too narrow, my left foot was skapping inwards. As i also land lateral, mid to forefoot. But interesting you are mid lateral footstrike and don't experience this. I used to love nike zoomfly 2018, i ran so natural in it and it was a fast shoe. I was hoping vaporfly would be the same but better propulsion. But as said, felt awkward. So.....:) does vaporfly 3 have a wider midsole? I see you ran in saucony pro 3. Its a nice shape to allow for natural footstrike, but maybe not that 'quick'

good review. Sounds like my kinda shoe, a bit firmer now, more fwd motion & lighter than Vaporfly2 i'm in now. Just gotta find one on sale before next marathon in 4 months. I wonder if is it starting to feel more like the Adios Pro line? Thanks.

I ran my 2022 marathon in the Endorphin Pro 3 and 2021 in Vaporfly Next% 1. I ran a half in spring 2023 in Alphafly1.

Did they require any break-in? I just picked up a pair and considering using them for a marathon in 2 weeks

They did not require a break in, but you might need more runs in them to be sure you want to run a marathon in them. 2 weeks would be pushing it for me to decide. Good luck with your race!

I did not need to break them in whatsoever. No blisters or anything. Is and feels much lighter than the Alphafly 2 but I do miss the stability of the Alphafly 2 when hitting the 20 mile mark as my stride gets sloppy.

The heels seem to be too roomier than those in Vaporfly Next%. The fit is too loose, and the shoes fall off the achilles. Also, feel discomfort on the right heels while walking on a treadmill. ZNo such discomfort with the Next%, in which the achilles fit nicely. Returning mine.
