That’s a tough one. The AF V1 has been my go to shoe because they are quick. I ran Detroit and Boston in them and they performed well. The VaporFly 3 is a more smooth ride, lightweight, with a much more comfortable upper. I’m leaning toward the Vaporfly currently to set a person best. Value wise it’s the AF V1 all the way. You can find them on sale and you can run more miles in them. Have a great day.

@@RunTall Thanks Tim! Congrats on your job. I always love Alphafly v1 so that I ran two marathons in them. I have just got a new pair on sale and I must run my Next one in them. To tell the truth Iam between Alphafly 1 and Mizuno Rebellion Pro, a shoe that has worked very well for me.

I loved the first vaporfly, but I just can't with the next versions after they put in the cushion around the heel... I suppose that it's for additional stabilization after removing even more weight from the shoe, but it's just not comfortable...does the Alphafly 2 have this issue too?

Goodness I haven't run a 5K race in the Vaporfly 3 yet. I suspect it is faster from my experience in them so far. However, I have run a few sub 20 minute 5K's in my Alphafly V1's. Have a great day.
