Thanks. If your snow is so deep it covers the laces then eventually water will get in when the ice melts. Anything that does not touch that area you are good.

I am not sure as I haven't ever got a pair of Vomeros. But looking at images it seems slightly higher.

I haven't had them long enough to answer that question but the upper seems robust enough to give a good scrub. It whether it stains easily.
