Nikita has good speed and power yet still has a long way to go. I think he has world class potential no doubt, but needs to work on defence big time, strategy, pacing himself, changing dimensions and knowing when to strike, when to step back, etc etc.

This fight was very entertaining with both young men slugging it out in a display of skill, stamina, courage and toughness. They both landed some very hard punches in combination to both head and body which resulted in both of them being left bleeding. Nikita seemed to get the better of the contest overall and definitely deserved the Win. But Ben Horn landed significant scoring punches on occasions and there was potential for both to get a knockout up until the final bell. They will both learn from the experience and improve their skills It was good that neither appeared to sustain any obvious serious injury or damage as Combat Sports are inherently very dangerous. They are to be commended for the respect and good sportsmanship shown between them after the fight. I think everyone would wish them every success and that they will remain safe and free of injury and damage if they continue to pursue a career in boxing.

Lots of hard punishing shots to the head show both to be rock hard young men keen to put on an excellent show. Nikita had four bouts in 2022 so his head will have taken some punishment. Just hope he's ok but like you say tough and courageous.

Nikita took some shots he wouldn’t take in later fights but weathered them. That’s a credit to his conditioning. Ben looks like he’s trained by the same guy that trains Jeff. He’s a brawler and my guess he won’t ever be more than an opponent. Nikita was impressive even at the six round stage.

Hes young and learning. But did look good. But hes got alpt of learning and experience to gain still. Because he cant take a right hand like that against a great fighter. That right hand that he got hit with in the last 20 secs or so was a flush perfect punch. And when facing the greats you cant make that mistake.

The Horn camp is the biggest embarrassment of Australian boxing. Holding the head, charging forward with the elbow, tackling. Everything in Ben's arsenal is dirty and ugly just like Jeff. Good learning experience for Nikita. People need to understand it's always difficult to look sharp or land clean vs a fighter like Horn.

Two guys in time gone by, watching an older brother make some serious chaff; up at the top level in the "Ring"! Think wtf, I can do that and they get reasonably fit and go hard at it!! Lunging and striking with one punch combos, followed by a wild swing from the other arm! Not much resemblance of clever footwork, smart defence, elbows in and gloves up. Not many crisp punches being thrown while on the balls of their feet. Rather, thundering in flat footed, as big brother Jeff used to do? That's why the other big brother ended his career. It's called timing and "Ring IQ." Absolute "Hats off", for the Guts n Glory battle,!! But Ben needs a boxing trainer, not a Karate black belt Champ in his corner, telling him he's doing good, rather than telling him what to do as the fight progresses. Anyone remember the Bud Crawford mauling, while Glenn Rushton was telling a battered Jeff Horn in the 7 and 8th; to keep going?? Dundee Kim parted ways because of it, I believe?. Both fighters need to study the footwork of the 2 best LB 4 LB lighter weight fighters "Loma" and "the Monster Inoue" to see how to win by footwork, speed and crushing body shots? Hit smart and hard and limit getting hit yourself!!
