Nikki Lane is a singer-songwriter who blends county, rock, and Americana genres, referred to as the First Lady of Outlaw County. You might have to know someone, who knows someone to find out about her music, but once you do and you drag yourself out to see her, you'll be a fan for life as her shows are all a bit unique, possess mind penetrating deep vocals and sound that changes the the energy in the room.
Through her crafty songwriting she has released four albums so far Walk of Shame, All or Nothin', Highway Queen and Denim & Diamonds which was recorded with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. Several musicians were brought in and it ended up that "Black Widow" was recorded with double drums, since there were two drummers there that day!
Known for her rebellious attitude and her vintage fashion sense... I love a woman who needs a measuring tape at all times. Nikki is a funny story teller and explained how she likes to get high and make her merch at night. I was lucy enough to catch a small boot container/key chain that looks like you could use it for an impromptu shot of something.
Lane recently sold a song for a children's project and tells the story of how that song was wrote in the pickup on the way to the studio.

We seen her in El Paso Tx this year she’s great!!! Just love her style,she was headlining Chris Stapleton

That’s cool! I’m glad she’s getting some visibility with larger acts. Stapleton had Allen Stone opening here. There were a few songs on his Radius album that blew my mind. I will see Nikki every time. She’s so beyond awesome. Thanks for commenting!!

this galvanizes my resolve to catch her live, why with her smokey vocals, her impeccable sartorial elegance, her great songs, and her kick-ass band, plus covering lucinda williams, i gotta go... and after seeing this set, would love to suggest they cover a tune inspired by gram parsons = "honky-tonk women", or "honky-tonk men"!... this band with jimmy could really deliver the goods...will you ever come to denver?
