Key question. Is compassion an evolutionary trait? Evolutionary game theorists and some anthropologists document that in repeated interactions it is useful to exhibit empathy (like reciprocity and tit for tat). Can AI "feel" empathy? Can it learn to "feel"? Is the human feeling something that goes beyond chemistry and is in some sense like consciousness? We know that NDEs have shown that these feelings of love reside beyond this physical 3D dimension. Can AI have this same property? I am skeptical. Namaste☮☯🕉♾➰
