Honestly, anything from their Live in the LBC concert is a great choice. I would probably recommend Seize the Day, Gunslinger, or Beast and the Harlot from that concert

Exactly. As a veteran I very much relate to a lot of their music. These guys have lots of friends or family who've served so these helped voice our problems that service members face in the military. I learned that everyone is just a number, only there to fill politicians pockets at the end of the day. It wasn't worth it, cause the leadership is just as toxic in the military as our government is. Which is why a lot of young folk aren't joining the military now. I'm only 24 myself, I thought I was going to do my 20 years and retire, but it was just too much. 4 years was enough for me

So the main theme of the album is basically machines taking over humanity. This being the first song on the album I was surprised it doesn’t follow that exactly. However seeing the video and your reaction, you could say the overarching theme is just that mankind will always be responsible for it's own downfall/destruction. As it does mention in the album about men "creating god" i.e. the advancements in AI etc. A lot to think about and it's a really great album from them!

You should do an album review for their newest album "life is but a dream" The songs alone don't tell the whole story, but the album front to back is a masterpiece with influences from metal, hip hop, classical, and even movie soundtracks. For me it's today's "dark side of the moon".

If you were going to do just one song from the album "cosmic" is the one. Probably the most beautiful songs written in 20 years. Maybe I'm a fanboy, but that song is incredible.

@@jerichodublin6617 agreed. 20 year old me might not agree, but 30 year old me really appreciated the songwriting they've developed. A good ear for music will also notice just how "old school" this album is. I hear influence from waking the fallen and sounding the seventh all over this album. Not to mention plenty of dueling guitar solos and incredible riffs and vocal melodies like all of their albums. It even has some throwback to the revs first band Pinkly Smooth.
