Girlllll yes! I’ve been struggling with this one too! I don’t even know how long I’ve been reading this book. Honestly probably like 2 weeks now 🫢 I’m on chapter 46 now and I’m feeling the same way that I’m finally getting into it now! I’m reading along with you and trying to come back and watch while I’m watching your video! 🫶🏼 Also I’m a Daisy Haites girly myself! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Agree 100% with everything. This one dragged so much for me, and I will read ANYTHING that Jessa writes. The last 150 pages of this were brilliant…but ultimately it was so hard to get through 😢

I liked the character development in this book. BJ and Magnolia had some growth here; especially BJ. I loved the friend trip that they did at the end. I'm glad that they went to therapy. There were a lot of nice moments but this book was hella long. It was so freaking long and it could have been cut down a bit. There were a lot of chapters about the parents which I didn't care about. I did give it the highest rating of the five so far but mainly because it has some good character development for the two main characters. There were two plot holes that I noticed in this book: 1.) BJ mentions that he has 3 regrets in his life and mentions #1 & #3 but not #2. He says regarding #2, “I don’t want to talk about it.” It was never addressed. 2.) BJ mentions that years ago Magnolia told him something devastating that her dad did to her and it broke her trust in him forever. I don't think it was ever mentioned though. I got all of the original covers from Blackwells. They are gorgeous and are so artful! The shoe covers however are so freaking ugly and are so insulting to readers...they have nothing to do with the story at all and really don't express the tone. I am really excited about book 6 and book 7...I just hope Daisy doesn't have too many footnotes in her chapters. I hated her footnotes.

I just finished this and it was so long. Im all for a long character driven book if everything in the book has a purpose and adds to the story. I almost felt like Jessa had all these ideas in her head for all these characters and just couldnt leave anything out so added every tiny thing. The Taura/Tiller thing honestly felt like it was added just to show Tiller again cuz we love him. But, um no. I spent half the book waiting for the other shoe to drop and BJ and Magnolia to break up again because otherwise i couldnt see how the book was 700 pages. I really felt like this was not so much about BJ and Magnolia but grief and parental relationships. Which ok thats fine but it felt like things were happening just to make the book longer and add drama. Like why the heck were her parents having an affair. Her dads affair and then wedding to Marsaili was a somewhat big part of the other books and then lets just undo that to add some more drama. Just one more thing to give Magnolia a reason to be suspicious of BJ. I felt the same with Taura and Tiller like it was just thrown in there for something to talk about. All the photos and articles that kept coming out about BJ to show Magnolia didnt completely trust him. That happened like 3 or 4 times and could have been shown once and we would get the point but lets keep going with it to add some more drama. I think we are going to find out in the next Daisy book that something bad was going on and anyone associated with Jo/Christian and Julian were in danger. I think Daniela was Magnolias bodygaurd. When BJ and Magnolia are going on the trip for Bridget its mentioned that Jo or Christian strongly suggested Henry go too and i think they were trying to get him out of the country for his safety. Im excited for the next daisy book and glad Magnolia and BJ's is done lol

I bought Into The Dark on Blackwells website from the UK so my cover would match my original indie copies….it does but the size of the book itself is larger, so it really doesn’t match 😢 I have the original releases before Jessa signed with a publishing house

Just wish that it had focused more on bj and magnolia love story and the wedding instead of the drama magnolia was having😢 they finally got together in this book but not very satisfied…
