It's criminal how underrated this show is, it's masterful storytelling. We've seen the lives of these characters over decades and their arcs are incredible, like Brida as you mentioned. Also Aelswith - how we all hated her in the early seasons! Her burning contempt for Uhtred, always urging Alfred to kill him and here she is with absolute respect and trust in him, telling her son "I would urge you to follow the counsel of LORD Uhtred." It's awesome TV and kudos to Eliza Butterworth, who is still only 29!

The moment where Edward realizes “damn I chose wrong”. What an amazing scene for Uhtred to finally have the support of those he has protected all this time. Also- while not Beocca, Father Pyrlig is an OG. Amazing scene and acting between them. And can’t get enuf of Aelswith. Absolutely hysterical hearing her describe her warrior moment. And who would’ve called Aelswith 100% backing Uhtred 5 seasons ago. Kinda digging how Eadith has become a fill-in for Hild. But it would be good to see her again in moments like these. And the way she, a literal princess, is so in love with Cynlaef, a random boy, is so adorable to me.

Edward has Alfred's ego, without the patience. Alfred was just as ruthless and stubborn in his own way. But the difference was that Alfred at least considered other opinions. Edward doesn't. Mostly because he's unsure of himself. Edward constantly feels threatened. Aelswith is to blame for Aelfwynn's abduction in the first place, she took the girl away from protection of her... uncle. And that Stiorra... "Noone suffered as I did!" Yeah, right, everyone else suffered much more, it seems. The very woman you shot in the back suffered much longer and much worse than you. And the very plan of Uhtred to 'strike first' prevents any kind of peace b/w Edward and Constantine. Constantine will just be reassured that Edwards wants to rule all of it, not only 4 kingdoms of Saxons, but Scots too. upd 2. OMG, what are you even talking about. Those lands of Northumbria will be ruled by another Christian monarch, not Satan himself. It's not like Constantine plans torture and genocide for all these farmers and what not. Well Edward had already captured Eoferwic, the capital of Northumbria after executing Sigtryggr. Since Northumbria remained Saxon, they weren't wrong in saying that he would be dividing that kingdom. Edward's plan would've kept a peace with Scotland, but since he had become king of Mercia as well, he'd be sacrificing a noblewoman (his niece) in that agreement in exchange for executing Aethelhelm, so Uhtred was right, even though it was a sound decision, it had no honour

yay you've been giving us more reactions and quick! i come on here to always check and see if you uploaded a new reaction video to this show lol. such an amazing show, but damn Uhtred is fucking handsome, and with that long hair. i liked ragnar too so much. Uthred deserves so much, he gets everything taken from him, and he deals with so much. he's so strong mentally and physically. brida pissed me off after a while, i hated her when she got way too much into her head, and the revenge shit when she was doing way too much. i wish they made more seasons, but i can't wait for the movie to come out. plus my bf is watching the show with me even tho i've seen it, so it's fun rewatching it and i wish i could rewatch the show for the first time again, but this will do.

I think Stiorra is right. Stiorra recognizes that Uhtred's loyalty to the past is limiting his ability to effectively lead their people. Uhtred has always been fiercely loyal to his deceased wife and friends, and this loyalty has often motivated his actions. However, Stiorra rightly points out that this loyalty is blinding Uhtred to the needs of the present and the future. He is so focused on honoring the past that he is unable to see the threats and opportunities of the present, which puts their people in danger. Furthermore, Stiorra recognizes that Uhtred's attachment to the past is a weakness that his enemies can exploit. Uhtred's enemies know that he is loyal to the past and will use this against him. They will try to manipulate him by playing on his emotions and past relationships. Stiorra argues that Uhtred needs to focus on the present and future, rather than allowing his enemies to use his past against him. And I think her anger towards her father, is understandable for several reasons. 1. Firstly, Uhtred's frequent absences and dangerous quests put Stiorra in a vulnerable position. As a young woman, Stiorra is not equipped to defend herself against the dangers that she may encounter while Uhtred is away. She is left to rely on the protection of others, which can be unreliable at times. 2. Secondly, Uhtred's actions have put Stiorra's life in danger on multiple occasions. As a warrior and leader, Uhtred often takes risks that can have serious consequences. Stiorra has been kidnapped and held hostage because of Uhtred's actions, which would understandably make her angry with him for putting her in that situation. Additionally, Uhtred's feud with Aethelhelm leads to the deaths of several people close to Stiorra, including her lover, Sigtryggr. 3. Thirdly, Uhtred's unwillingness to accept Stiorra's choices and independence adds to her anger. Stiorra is a strong and capable woman who wants to make her own decisions and live her life on her own terms. Despite this anger, I think Stiorra still loves and respects her father, which makes her conflicted and adds a layer of complexity to their relationship. Thanks for coming to my ted talk:D
