@jackcravford87443 жыл бұрын
It will not work at all. We can see, that Wick would loose his fight against Ruhian/Cecep in third Wick movie, if they were not waiting for him, to get up. Raid and its fight levels are just on another level, not only with brutal speed, but the choreography is not about making fancy moves, but about eliminate your opponent with two, three brutal punches. Wick is almost dancing in his fight scenes, it takes so long and it looks too choreographed. And i will be really glad, if both Universes will be complete separated.

@@jackcravford8744 didn't John wick movie inspired by the first movie? Each has different choreographer. Raid 2012 choreography made by that mad dog actor. While this movie is made by Joe Taslim (krambit user). Both is Penchak silat practitioner
@jackcravford87443 жыл бұрын
@@boboboy8189 If i remember correctly, Ruhian did choreography for first Raid with Uwais and Evans, that means that even the director created some ideas. Second movie was probably choreographed again by Ruhian, Evans, Iko and probably also Cecep Arif Rahman, cause he is an pro in Silat, so i bet that he was a part of the choreography (i can be wrong though). And first Raid was before John Wick, but it is MAYBE possible that somehow Raid inspired Wick and other action movies, but i feel like Wick is aiming more towards oldschool hong kong action movies.
@Cookieboy703 жыл бұрын
Kinda cool, but it wouldn't work. John Wick is technically a criminal (a former assassin). Rama is a cop, who at the end of Raid 2 is sick of criminals. They woudn't get along. The assassin underworld is a fictional world that also expands the globe where basically the police are inferior to the point of non-existence, the Raid takes place in a more realistic world.
@VermilionGates3 жыл бұрын
@@jackcravford8744 Wick has a grappling style closer to Judo or perhaps more so military combatitves, it's actually more practical than martial arts and his style is focused more on getting your opponent on the ground so you can take them out quickly with a firearm. This was the film Gareth Evans wanted to film but couldn't afford it. The filmed the Raid instead as a fundraiser (it out did itself, clearly) and then they funded the raid 2. He realised he had a marketable lead character in Rama so adapted the story to fit as a sequel to the 1st Raid, unfortunately "mad dog" was killed off and so they couldn't reuse the actor as the lead baddie in the Raid 2, so had to write a new part for him, which elongates the movie somewhat. The kitchen fight is prob the best fight scene ever - the build in desperation of the characters as they get more tired and the injuries escalate. Beautiful.

one awesome detail about that kitchen fight is that both guys are wearing black and nothing in the kitchen set is darker then their clothes. This makes them standout from the background and allows us to see the fight choreography clearly. This is opposed to a lot of action films, from Hollywood especially, where the stunt guys or actors are wearing dark clothes, performing on a dark set. It can work if the cinematographer is really good, like the John Wick films, or how Zach Synder shoots action, but when done poorl,y as it usually is, the movements get lost in the gloom and shaky cam.

Hey guys, i love your reactions. A little bit of insight for Rama punching the wall in the prison cell: When you hit concrete or materials harder than bone, the bones on the knuckles, joints, and fingers as a whole will fracture, even if the fractures would be considered "hairline." Over time, those fractures will fill in with calcium and make the bones on your hands stronger and more durable. It's how I've turned my hands into rocks. It seems brutal and painful, but that pain fades shortly until it's just another training method. It isn't just training your body in a different style or form, but being able to function under extreme stress. The pain of my cracked knuckles and sprained fingers makes that pain so much easier to deal with as time goes on. Now, what I thought was brutal and unnecessary when I was young is just another exercise. It's like doing any exercise. Pushups hurt, pullups hurt, situps hurt, etc. Any exercise you strive for will incite pain. Thus is life

There was suppose to be a part 3 which would have told the story of what happened between 1 and 2. Notice how it seemed like the beginning of 2 starts off weird and the captain is killed. There's a story behind what happened that leds up to that. I'm sad we will never know what happened.

There's actually deleted scenes that explains better the beginning and some loose ends (like the second cop that survive)
