@@loveandfearstan8791 yet he creamed his pants over the new architects song (literally Jordan Fish paint by numbers metalcore) and the new Spiritbox song (not produced by Jordan, but might as well be). Is there a way to block this putz so don't have the temptation to watch his shit takes? I seriously can't figure out how to get him off my feed permanently. @aaronaustin4019Ай бұрын
@@oaktowndimond668totally agree. As someone who can’t stand bmth or pretty much any of the generic octane metalcore bands, this album is not that. It is extremely unique and you can clearly hear poppy’s influence all over this album. I liked the song, but was worried when new way out dropped that it might end up being generic metalcore, but clearly poppy and stevis pushed Jordan to be way more creative than he probably would’ve been otherwise. My only gripe is that her drummer Ralph is absolutely amazing and he should have been utilized on the full album. The programmed drums are the only thing that bummed me out a bit. But still it’s my album of the year and may end up one of my all time favorites at this rate. Can’t stop listening to it. I didn't even know Jordan was producing it, and yet it was very obvious that it felt like BMTH's latest projects. I enjoyed it very much.

I have to disagree with you on some things. The most octane core song is no way out and the chorus of the cost of giving up is incredible. Also the electronics are very nice all around and the intro of the 1st song is very NIN inspired and cool.

my reaction to poppy is a bit.. paradox? on the one hand i like her just doing what she wants, which end in her not having a direction at all regarding genre. on the other hand, her not having like a gerne that she identifies with (is it pop? is it metal? is it punk? is it edm?), feels like corporate wants her to cover as many genres in her comfortzone as possible to reach the widest audience and spread the risks. but then again, maybe i'm thinking too much about it and should just enjoy the songs that i like and ignore the ones that arent up my alley

i found the best "yhooooh" scream.... it's a band called "fatal move" and the song is "lost cause". about 10 seconds in

0:00 I thought you was doing some new Cannibal Corpse type of intro

Damn Nik. I missed you reacting to it. I had never heard of Poppy until last weekend when Spotify started thowing some tracks my way. I liked what I heard.

Easily her best release. I didn’t even know this came out until about an hour ago and enjoyed every song off this project. Crystallized is an amazing song and overall this record is one of my favorite, if not the best album of the year.

I love the Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton comparisons, and what I need to iterate is... Avril Lavigne. 🥴

Two three years ago I wanted to brush her off, didn’t understand a feature with Bad Omens, talked trash, then was completely blown away by her with Knocked Loose yet was still somehow skeptical. This album is actually a diamond in the rough right now, I have zero complaints and only good things to say about it. Absolutely tremendous song writing and choruses. Jordan took this record to the top with her. I hope she sticks around in this genre for real.

I remember watching her first few videos when she first came out. I can't even remember if I got to the "twist" before I stopped watching her. I heard she was doing really bad with that dude, glad to see she's doing well and branching out.
