Is the place st.anton where this is filmed? Thinking of going to st.anton/hintertux or lech. Does someone that has skied there have info on which place should I go. St.Anton from my understanding is one of the best places to off piste skiing so I’m thinking that

@@jjjyli686 I would definetely go to st anton, I've been many times although I also really enjoy the zillertal valley. As there are many hotels/apartments for cheap i'd suggest hiring a car or taking a train from innsbruck and do a week in both regions. Theres loads of piste skiing aswell in the zillertal so if snow is rubbish you can still ski something new every day.

@@baby.jingles ok! I looked up zillertal arena and it has gotten like top 3 best ratings. Mayrhofen-hippach looked promising for powder. I think I will buy ski arlberg skipass and maybe visit zillertal after that👍

Been living at the base of Thompson Pass for 25 years, still taking my GF to Austria for her b-day this year. When AK is good, maybe there's no better, but it's not always good and you can be here and not ski for weeks even months at a time! It's not as consistent as it used to be....love your content 🤙

Love it! Great movie! Arlberg is my favorite. For those interested. 5:31 is ski resort Sonnenkopf and the lift is "DSB Glattingrat". 8:00 onwards is in Stuben, "Albonabahn II" and then "Albonagrat". The opening scene with the avalanche has no lift access; you have to walk from Stuben or Langen. In all the years, I have NEVER seen a line there though. I can be wrong but it's likely they would have been the first ones on this face. Keep up the great work. Inspiring!

Im no expert, but that snowpack crossing the traverse was a big red flag and would be a nope from me haha. Glad you guys all seemed to feel an avvy was brewing. Melted and unstable snow in big terrain is not something to mess with. The last few seasons of your recording, have really put a good perspective on risks. I feel like you talk about risks and observations the most. Its a good thing to be cautious in the back country. You're always right, until your wrong ha.
