I have seen the original film with those scenes. They are brilliantly filmed but there is no way he would have been able to keep them up on youtube. He removed as little as possible, I see. I applaud that this production has been made available, despite the cuts. To assault someone for providing something wonderful for free is madness. Appreciate what's here or watch the whole thing on Video. Netflix had it, last I checked.

Why would you remove the scene? Shostakovich didn't write it just for fun !

It's a shame that the scenes had to me removed, especially since the music goes too, but he didn't really have a choice. This is posted on KZbin and they have content restrictions. If you read the second comment on this page, you'd see that he had already been warned twice for videos with sexual content. He didn't censor it for any of our sakes, or because he wanted to, and I'm glad that he's posted as much as he has. Try thinking things through before insulting someone.

I don't understand why censor and post it on KZbin? Why KZbin since they must be so tyrannical? why not Vimeo or even a PornHub? Why give KZbin the traffic?

@yesiwhore Twice KZbin warned me for strong sexuality. The last time was about Stanley Kubrick's film "Eyes wide shut". Send your comments to KZbin. Not to me.

Poor Nikolaos !!! As to the sex scenes, if you want the full-on nudity, femal debasement, and anal gang rape scene you can get it in a Dutch version posted on KZbin. What you deleted is only about 2-3 minutes. While losing the music was a bit disappointing, I didn't feel like I missed much, and filled in the gap with the Dutch scene (those Dutch !!!). What you have is more of a filmed version than a staged version ... and it has English subtitles that are true to the original libretto. Thanks so much for posting this.
