Nikolas and Gia Story (Part 65) || General Hospital

In watching this scene, we see Nikolas want Gia to spend time with him and her family which was something that she finds out later that he desperately wanted as a child. Gia's reaction to Nikolas's change in plans was priceless. I know that she would react differently if she knew how much he wanted to spend time with his Mom as a child but didn't have that chance.

Gia/Florence had a complicated relationship like Nik/Stefan. I think that's why Nik understood it. He could be frustrated at his uncle sometimes, but also loved him, and knew Gia was the same about her mom. Both Nikolas and Gia were raised by single parents that had high expectations of them. Gia didn't have a father figure in her life like Nik didn't have a mother (until later).

@@nianikgia8432 I think that Nikolas and Gia bonded because of their their difficult relationships with Stefan and Florence. Nikolas and Gia were both driven, intelligent people who did love Stefan and Florence very much but also wanted to have their own lives and Nikolas and Gia do build a life together. I also think that Nikolas wanted a child with Gia and that he didn't quite know how to express that and that they would have been and will be good parents because, they would and will focus on their child's happiness and let their child make choices. Luke and Laura love Lucky and they allowed him to make choices as a child and he grew up in a happy household that Nikolas and Gia wanted but didn't have. I also think that if Curtis is supposed to be Trina's father that this could have been easily established years ago without bringing up Gia or putting Ava in a storyline with Nikolas. Nikolas is going to need help when things become toxic with Ava and he has been self-destructing and aloof for awhile and no one really does anything about it but, Trina would help him and give him something positive to focus on which he hasn't had for years in part because Spencer is usually in boarding school and not with Nikolas. I think that Nikolas always wanted a child with Gia in a way that we don't see with anyone else.
