I’m back here watching the early scenes that Tyler Christopher performed in on General Hospital. I fell in love with Prince Nikolas and the fine young actor that brought this character to life. Laura needs to grow a backbone. Because little Luke Jr. put her son in the hospital, she has to walk away from him? Nikolas has done nothing wrong but he was punished time and time again just because he was her son. She needs to fight for her child the same way she would do if his last name were Spencer. Luke was dead wrong, too, but Laura is a coward for allowing him to drive a wedge between her and her first born.

I am a big fan of Laura, but this really is a low point for her. Laura and Luke figured out a way to save the planet from being frozen over. Are you telling me she couldn't find a way in the 80s to go back to Greece and steal back her baby?

People often compare Spencer w/ young Nikolas. I know people love NAC, but I prefer TC's style. He's more subtle, and his looks are expressive where as NAC tends to go over the top.

I truly miss Tyler Christopher as Nikolas Cassadine. The depth and layers he always brought to the character. He will always be the dark, moody prince to me ❤. He's in a much better place in his life now he's diagnosed and in therapy. Maybe he'll get a 2nd or 3rd...or whatever chance it is over at GH to possibly have the character return? He's so incredibly talented.

Wow.. Tyler and Genie were always great togther. I was really touched by their scene during Genie's 2008 return... didn't see this when it originally aired. He can really act against her. That is saying a lot as she is amazing. Would love to see more of them together on screen in 2009. Thanks for posting!

Stefan was absolutely right. Those were definitely Luke's words coming out of Laura's mouth and it was sickening for her to forsake her eldest son just because her immature husband demanded that she do so. She should have set it straight to Luke that he was not in charge of her relationship with her eldest son and if he couldn't accept it then she should have packed his bags and threw him out instead of doing what he wanted. Luke was trash from day one anyway.

Yes. This storyline absolutely made me hate Luke in a way that there was no coming back from. His hatred of and mistreatment of 16 yr old child was sociopathic. On the one hand, I get why he was upset. But his inability to see Nikolas as a kid who did nothing wrong but be born was unforgivable.

@A says #fuckcoronavirus! - Helena wasn't a developed character at this point. We had seen Helena once back in 1981 when the character was played by Elizabeth Taylor (a role she asked for). Back then all she was was the widow of Mikkos Cassadine who vowed revenge on Luke and Laura. Basically we were supposed to assume Helena's evil as an extension of Mikkos's evil. The character was vague until much later.

I mean you can almost hear them cackling with laughter. This is especially true with most of the Cassadines and Faison. Though, that tends to change with those intended to be around longterm like with Stefan or Sonny or the Edward Quartermaine. Helena and Stavros were always Luke's archnemeses, someone for Luke to rail against, rather than fully developed characters with motivation behind their actions. They basically have one goal - make Luke miserable - and it showed.

The Cassadines ran that roost so hello! She was alone she had to marry Stovros or Helana would have Laura killed. He’s done a couple things in prime time but most recently, he went over to DOOL to play Stephano’s son, Stephan, which was recast with GH’s ex Johnny Zacara. He’s had a drinking problem and DOOL had to take him for medical attention after he showed up intoxicated. His wife filed for divorce but kept filing continuances all year. After he was arrested on his 47th birthday after a binge, she filed to finalize the divorce. I think he has 2 kids, if I remember. It’s so tragic. I hope he is able to recover from this. Even if he chooses to never be our Nik again, I hate to think of him in that kind of pain and his kids need him.💔

What are you talking about? Laura knows how destructive the Cassadines are and she knows how devious they can be with brain washing and the like. She wants to believe her children, no matter who the fathers are, to get along. But if the children are not going to get along and fight each other she does not want to witness that and walks away in hopes they will grow up and support and love each other. I mean if Laura can forgive Luke for raping her and becoming his wife and having children with, then I think these boys should be able to get along. I'm sure that has crossed her mind about forgiveness.

It's not like she can leave Lucky, he's too young. Nick has Stefan, and is older. She's scared if she doesn't do something, her boys will kill each other. She's seen nothing but death since the first sight of Cassadines. And she already feels unworthy to be happy bc she left Nick, and had feelings for Stefan. Luke could have changed all this, but he's too selfish. Stefan is being selfish too. Same reason as Luke- he's jealous and he wants her himself. The real Luke loved Laura enough to put his feelings aside for happiness, this new one ruined a great story. They made all the characters yo yos.
