I'm so happy I could make it to Atl for this, live. I got to take a picture with Nikole, 1 of the only 2 people I call a hero of mine. I hate I offered my sister to come to this cause she was literally THE only person (and a black woman 39yrs of age at that) not paying attention.. too busy looking at her phone and kept asking me questions like, "Who's Isabel Wilkerson?"😠 I'm a 37yr old black man. How YOU dont know!? and saying things like, "I thought it was gonna be a debate." 🤦🏾‍♂️ Some folks just refuse to read to be educated! Anyways, I actually got to meet a real 21st century revolutionary alive and well! 1619 as she's said before is nothing new but the bridging of historiography and common knowledge was indeed revolutionary! Most people I know don't read, and the ones that do don't read history. This woman got teachers and professors IN ALL fifty states to change curriculums to incorporate this work! Thankyou Nikole!

Nikole has already done her job… “I ask the New York Times to do the Blackest things they’ve ever done.” Now it’s time for us to do our job. And believe me, I ask that question every day!

I agree that "5 noisy people" can change the law at the school board meeting. But, "More likely to graduate" -- 1% more or 50% more?
