Whoever says ANYTHING mean about you is just jealous or mean. You are terrific. You are real and you've shared some very personal things. I mean, going stark naked (no makeup) for the world to see... now, that's real and brave. I love watching you. found you when I grew my long, brown hair out to silver ... it only took two months... but I cut it into a sassy, short do. I get stopped by people who tell me it looks terrific. Wish I could send you a picture, Nikol, because you have inspired and taught me. First found you when I was growing out my brown hair to silver/gray and didn't know what to do with shampoos and makeup choices with the new, improved look.

I think you and your viewers will appreciate this. I am 13 months into my gray hair journey. I've had compliments on my hair but none I could 100 % contribute to color until today. Someone asked me is that your natural color? I answered with the exception of these few small blonde strands left. She said your color is so beautiful. It took me more than 5 years to start my journey and 15 months to get where I am today. Her comments made it all worth it. What power her compliment meant to me. #powerofgray

Your brows are not "manly", they are just Mediterranean and that's beautiful! Like Maria Callas, Irini Papas, Ellie Lambeti, Melina Mercouri (a few examples of famous Greek ladies), many Greek women and girls have natural thick, velvety, healthy eyebrows like this, it's gorgeous :) Also in Italy, Spain, southern France... Mediterranean beauty! And in many other parts of the world, actually. Look at photos of Jackie Kenned/ Onassis. So sad to see how ignorant some people can be.

I have received YEARS of comments about my eyebrows too. Have dark full/bushy ones like you. I love them, but in the 90's I was really, really harrassed. Now, it's the jealous people telling me that I still need to do something. geez, I wish they would just shuttie. I love my eyebrows which is why I never plucked the heck out of them in the first place.

I, too, have very bushy dark eyebrows. My Dad didn't "believe" in wearing makeup or plucking eyebrows. ( So sad, he just died of Covid- 19). I also received many negative comments when I was a teenager. Later, I plucked only the stray hairs, so I never had the problem of thinning eyebrows until I developed hypothyroidism.( My hair was thinning, also.) Now that that is corrected, my eyebrows are a little thinner and unruly on the ends. I am 67. I still just pluck the stray hairs, as usual, and fill in with a small amount of light brown brow color using fluffy upward strokes, not solid like the young girls do. I quit using hair color. My hair is only gray in the front, like my Mom's. I started eating more vegetables and took hair and nail vitamins. Finally my hair is much thicker, and the ends of my eyebrows came back.

dang, you are stunningly beautiful without makeup. great tips. i have been using lipstick as blush for about a year and it looks so much more natural than powdered blush. i am 65, but have no actual wrinkles, just some tiny expression lines. since i retired i rarely wear any makeup and my skin has greatly improved. i never caked on the foundation because it felt as if my skin was smothering, but now i wear even less. less is more for those of us "of a certain age" because mutton should never try to look like lamb.
@Cat-no8ts4 жыл бұрын
Great tips! When I was younger, I used to use powder blushes only because my skin used to be really oily especially in my T-Zone area. Now, in my sixties , my skin has changed; gone from oily to a bit dry. I was afraid of cream blushes, for whatever reason, but now I can't do without them! I love the way cream blushes literally melt into the skin and causes a Natural Glow that can't be beat with powder! As for your eyebrows...people can be ridiculous and far too often these days, overly critical of others and yet insensitive to their own needs...such as being mannered! Little do ppl realize... sometimes we need to apply "cosmetics" to our inner beauty before we apply to our outer beauty! Emerson once wrote: "though we travel the world in search of the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not!" (PS: Really happy for you re the dermatologist; good news!) ❤

I really love your channel. It is refreshing to see you doing makeup the way we did when we were younger (we are the same age) & not the 17 million colors of shadow that the young'uns seem to be preaching. I never cared about taking care of my skin when I was younger so it's only been about 18 months maybe 2 years & my skin has really come a long way. I really love that skincare is not separate but part of your makeup routine. The only complaint I have about ANY of your videos is when you zoom in to show a process of something, it looks cloudy. You are trying to show important details that get lost. At our age we need to be able to see that definition & sharpness but that gets lost in that haze that gets added artificially & I'm sure I can't be the only one that has that happening with failing eyesight naturally.... Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration & it is great to have an advocate for older people. I don't feel so irrelevant after watching your videos & that says a lot! Hi Nikol! I have had issues with lash loss due to an eye condition. I had a dermatologist tell me to stop using an eyelash curler because no matter how careful I was in use my fragile lashes would come out. I seen your tip about applying mascara and using the heated eyelash curler to create lift. I started using a heated eyelash curler and it has worked so well that my eyelashes have started growing back in stronger and longer. Such a revelation that a small change could make my stick straight lashes lift and prevent damage caused by regular eyelash curlers.

I just watch this channel because it always give me such an energy boost, promotes good will to my fellow man/woman and Nikol, you are just you! Really appreciated these videos during the last few months in periodic lockdown; yes there is a world out there!!!! This is just a personal comment from my experience with aging and the changes in my body and face which make doing what I did in my 30s and into my late 40s when I could get away with anything, no longer feasible in my mid 60s so what can I do and how do I feel good in my own skin which is a french expression I love. It really is all here for those who are brave and embrace the present. But aspirationally, there are people I find beautiful whom I would be nuts to imitate; and no. physical beauty really isn't as important as the media would have us believe; this channel promotes self-confidence to help navigate life. I love the story of Lillian Hellman, a controversial writer in the '30s seriously into politics and a real warrior who was 5 ft not much and no oil painting as that misogynistic saying goes, and all her lovers madly attached to her. I love the mother/daughter tutorials because my mum is no longer here and I used to do her makeup (she didn't need much help but it was so much fun) and I simply love the interaction. I actually look a lot like my Dad, born in Serbia in 1908 a definite Zorba; Sean Connery, Anthony Quinn and Omar Sharif come to mind. Translate that to a woman's looks and a million things can go wrong. But you will always have ... eyebrows!!! So no I am not now nor will I ever be as beautiful as you Nikol but it was a real bonus because I can imagine myself into a certain style and look that is comfortable, familiar and doable. Would I ever have plastic surgery ... the peskiest thing is the fact that my eyelids have become hooded; I've been out of the sun or sunscreening for yonks so not concerned about anything other than reliable not too complicated skin care. Yes probably and keeping fit and wearing the right kind of clothes for me that will last and where I can find some self-expression and once again, confidence. LONG comment to say, thank you Nikol in Dec 2020 and keep doing what you are doing, total inspiration!!!!!!

thank you for this tutorial... i like that U kept it still looking natural.. and remind your followers that thicker brows are in style right now.. I luv your brows!. one of the worse things a women can do is tweeze her brows to just a thin line... because perhaps they may never grow back when the thicker brows do come back in.. and remind them that microblading can deteriorate the brow hair follicles and so if microblading a brow is done when very young . they can end up never again having a normal brow.. and remind them that their microblading will more than likely have to be redone about every two to three years... so say U live into your 80's .. think how that will damage the skin badly through the years if that has to be done over and over.. :( .. yep not good.. even certain makeup filled with harmful chemicals can damage brow folicles so healthy natural make up is is so important..

Your brows are your signature look❤️ Making them skinny would be too high maintenance. When I was 19, my eyebrows connected in the middle but guys would tell me that it was sexy. I’m Latina with South Asian mixture. So, I have the full eyebrows and never wanted skinny brows. When I used to work as a full time cosmetologist, the lady who did the waxing, talked me into shaping my eyebrows but took off the middle hairs without telling me. The middle never grew back. She waxed my eyebrows so skinny that I wore my glasses until they grew back and never let that woman touch my eyebrows again. Remember Brook Shields? Some people can rock full eyebrows. I’m 57 now and they’re still pretty full. I fill them slightly in with eyeshadow with a flat tipped brush. Biotin supplements help the brows and the eyelashes look thicker. Thank you for sharing your experiences. People can be unkind with negative comments because they don’t understand that beauty comes in all different designs. Going silver is a cool experience. I’m learning a new “me”.

Loved this video!!!! I’m so sorry that some people have nothing better to do than say awful things to others 😢 I personally am in awe with your beauty!!!! What I would give to have eyebrows like yours 💜💜💜 I used to have pretty eyebrows, but sadly they’re fading away.

“It’s like Spanx for your eyeshadow”- I can assure you I will NEVER AGAIN forget to use eyeshadow primer 😉. Your Mom and you are both beautiful, thanks for all you teach us ❤️

Lol I know right!!!! When I said Spanx in this video it sounded so much better than when I said “It’s like forgetting your underwear” in another video lol

That was a terrific presentation. I’m going to try out your method of doing eyes first. Also use brush for my concealer and BB cream.

Listen, your brows are the envy of every woman...I mean come on, do you know how many brow serums, vitamins and brow makeup I have in my arsenal....I mean women are microblading?!? Hello! Whatever, they jealous. Keep rocking those fabulous au currant brows sounds like those women need to realize it’s 2020, not 1973.

Dear God, are people really making nasty comments on your eye brows? I am so sorry. People can be weird. I love your brows. You are lucky to have them. Usually as we get older our brows get thin and sparse. I have always had beautiful brows, like Liz Taylor, but now they are getting thin with age. I am missing my youthful brows. BTW, your mother is stunning at 70. I loved this video, great make up tips. Thank you, Nikol.

Funny. I always tell my husband ..best place to put makeup on is on the car. The light is perfect. When he gets in my car he adjusts the rear view mirror because it’s always on Me when I drive. Too funny. Love watching you. Such energy.
