What is with the weird thread inside the lens barrel. It looks like 52mm but it is not. I want an adapter to screw into the lens. The only one I see is for 62mm filter. Does anyone know of one for 52-58mm.

I have read that some still cameras, when used as a video camera, turn off the electronic view finder. I s this the case for this model? I have also read that some cameras limit video recording in one take to 30 minutes. Can you tell me if this applies to this model? Thanks

I have never seen a camera which turns off EVF for video and I've reviewed 100+ cameras in last 5 years. All photo-cameras limit video to 29:59 (as far as I know). If they would be able to record longer, they would be regarded as video cameras - then they would fall into different tax category or something like that. If you need to record long videos, just buy video camera.

Set the camera to PAL system for 25fps. If you are from america it will default at NTSC which uses 30fps.

It comes with a built-in microphone, but there is no option of connecting it to another mic.

it's not a button. It's just a fancy logo on the sensor. You can turn gps on or off from the menu.

There's an addon you can buy called "WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter" . It plugs into the cable jack.
