Good comparison. Only note is that there is not a “width” mode to measure fairway width. It is “horizontal distance and height” mode which shows you the horizontal distance measured along the level line to target, regardless of incline angle. In other words if you pointed it at the top of a building, the horizontal distance would be the distance to the base of the building, and separately the height of the building would also be displayed. The other mode variation is “actual distance and height” which would show you the straight line distance to the top.

Great review. Recently returned a bushNell tour v5 shift for the cool shot pro ii stabilized after watching this review. No comparison in my opinion, the Nikon knocks it out of the park. Optics, display, stability etc…. The BushNell just feels like 5 year old technology compared to the Nikon.

I just purchased the Nikon coolshot proii stabilized. I also purchased a “Genew” leather magnetic case for it, but I’m afraid the magnets will mess up the stabilizing. This is my plan = I put a silicone cover over the rangefinder. It’s by tusita, and it’s made for it, fits like a glove. Then I was going to add the magnetic leather case over that, but I will also put a layer of aluminum foil in between the magnets and the silicone case to help block the magnetic field. Anybody have an opinion on this, or have a better suggestion? Thanks
@claudedickson98592 жыл бұрын
You missed a gripe on the Coolshot Pro: the case is a PITA to open quickly. I ditched the case and substituted the case from my old range finder.

Great review. Thanks. Do you have any information/experience how these devices react on foggy or rainy weather conditions ? Greetings from Germany 😊⛳

Thanks for the videos ! I'm looking at both the Nikon Coolshot Pro II Stabilized and the Tec Tec Tec Ult-S Pro. I saw the reviews you did on both, Is there that much of a difference between them ? I am a senior mid range handicap player that feels the stabilization would be better for me. I have always used the GPS watches that don't have slope adjustment. Never used a rangefinder. Recommendations from anyone.Thanks

Gabe. Great review. Trying the 50i for a few rounds now. Even with 2 hands, locking to the pin not always easy Although if you tap the button it will give you the distance without locking to it. So in short I found hard to lock but when locking not attainable you can tap the top button quick and will read it without the lock. Did you have similar experience with 50i? Tia. Wish the lock was more frequent myself

Great video Gabe. I wound up buying the Coolshot pro 2 stabilized after I saw this video. The only comment I have is it doesn’t vibrate when you lock on to target but I believe you mentioned it does? Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve had 4 leupold golf rangefinders with excellent warranty replacement in the past. Their nice but don’t last more than couple of years. Now leupold isn’t warranty them like they have done in the past with other gold ring products. Sad but will not buy them again. Common for the Displays burn out and lasers malfunction rendering useless. Considering bushnell or Nikon now.

Enjoyed the video, hoping you are right but you mentioned vibration when locking onto the flag. I generally go deep on research when buying particularly expensive toys. You are the only reviewer that says this about the pro II. I ordered from Amazon and can’t wait to start using on the course as the image stabilization is a game changer in my opinion. So, does it have haptics?

Gabe! I was just watching your Garmin Z82 review today since I’m in the market for a range finder. Thoughts on these two compared to Z82? Where should I dump more money 😵💫
@LetsPlayThru3 жыл бұрын
Well, let’s say “invest” that money 😉 Z82 is really a different beast altogether with a price tag to match. If budget was no issue, that’s my personal choice for all it can do. But there are some drawbacks like battery always needing charge, setting up the course, powering on/off. These Nikons are more “grab and go”, so I do like that a lot. No bad choices really. Just depends on what you need.
