Hello Nice images from the D3000. I have one and it works very well. The Kitlens 18-55mm is good enough in most cases. Use it for landscape and portrait. Greetings from lower Bavaria.

Great video. You can use the Dpad to move the focus points. I still have this camera. Works beautifully.

Just picked up a D3000, £70 with kit lens. I used to do a little photography with an old EOS slr but that was eons ago lol. D3000 isn't a spot on these new mirrorless gems but it'll be a darn sight better than what I'm used to, plus it looks really user friendly to help get back into the swing of things. I assume the art of the sport still holds true rather than picking up something stupid expensive and not knowing what the camera is actually doing it and why!

My D3200 is probably nearly 10 years old so that D3000 must be proper ancient. I found the kit lens to be absolutely rubbish (similar to those images), but any fast lens will produce decent results. I use my D3200 with the 16-80 f2.8-4 DX lens mostly.

Thanks for watching and for your comment. Yeah I think the camera is 14 years old and I'm still trying to get to grips with it, and that really was grab the camera and get straight out with it. I'm sure using a prime or that 16-80 you have would make a big difference, because the sensor is what it is. I will do a proper review soon - cheers 👍👍
